General Hospital Spoilers: Robert’s Choice – Diane or Holly?

General Hospital spoilers and updates reveals Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) vaguely remembers promising Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) that he would jump back into the dating pool soon. To be fair, he said he was focused on putting Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaugnessy) behind bars first, and that hasn’t happened yet.

Still, Robert sensed a bit of flirtation happening between himself and Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) a while back, before Holly Sutton (Emma Samms) returned from the dead and upended Robert’s life. He might take a bit of time to bounce back, but he is certain to bump into Diane when he does. There’s just one question he is trying to answer that will keep him back from taking Diane out for dinner — can he do this while lying to her?

When Robert arrived at the Metro Court Hotel last week with a briefcase handcuffed to his wrist, General Hospital spoilers show Diane was none the wiser that he had the events that would follow planned to a tee. He knew he was going to be drugged. He knew he would wake up in the hospital having given Diane a real fright. He can still tell from the voicemail Diane left him — that he’s yet to delete — when he went to his room with Holly that Diane was very worried about him. Telling her the truth now and admitting he was playing along the whole time might not impress Diane much or make her gain interest in seeing where a relationship with Robert might lead.

Robert doesn’t want to scare Diane off, but he also doesn’t necessarily know what he’s looking for right now in his life. He’s never been one to jump right into the deep end with someone new. He prefers a slow burn and a bit of romance. Robert is old-fashioned, and whoever he is with has to understand his commitment to his career. Diane is the same way. She also understands the need for privacy and discretion, which is a bonus for Robert.

General Hospital Spoilers — She Doesn’t Need The Whole Story

The truth is, Robert is too much of a stand-up guy to leave Diane thinking everything that transpired was on the up and up. He wouldn’t want her to find out the truth later. She should hear it from him. Nonetheless, he might be taken aback by how understanding Diane is, as well as how willing she is to look the other way and pretend none of it happened. Maybe dating a mobster for so long taught Diane a thing or two about staying in her lane. Either way, it looks like we can expect Diane and Robert to bring us some laughs in the near future.
