General Hospital Spoilers – Franco Started Remembering His Childhood After The First Brain Tumor Was Removed
General Hospital viewers will recall that a couple of years after Franco’s first brain tumor was removed, he started remembering parts of his childhood. There was always something in him that caused him to fixate on Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). He still couldn’t quite shake a connection he thought he felt to Jason, who he had thought was his brother he was separated from as a small child.
He even felt the connection after the tumor was removed and Jason was missing for several years. In the meantime, Robin Scorpio-Drake (Kimberly McCullough) had been kidnapped by Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) because she wanted her to resurrect Stavros Cassadine (Robert Kelker-Kelly). Jerry Jacks (Sebastian Roché) was also heavily involved in this operation. In the process of trying to develop a serum that would bring Stavros out of stasis, she found another patient also in stasis. Stasis is when a living person’s temperature is lowered gradually only just to barely sustain life, and they are nearly frozen and kept alive by machines.
At the time, she thought it was Jason! However, as viewers would learn later, it was actually Drew Cain (Billy Miller) Jason’s identical twin. No one had known he existed, and Drew was actually the brother that Franco remembered from his childhood. But then someone else Franco remembered came to town – an evil live-in boyfriend of their foster mother, Betsy Frank; Jim Harvey (Greg Evigan)!
GH Spoilers – Jim Harvey Sexually Abused Franco Baldwin And Franco Baldwin Protected Drew Cain, Who Was A Couple Years Younger

General Hospital spoilers will recall that Franco was sexually abused by Harvey, and he protected Drew. Drew was a couple of years younger than Franco, and he protected him. He gradually got more of his memories back with the help of Dr. Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) after the initial barrage of traumatic ones from his and Drew’s childhood. Betsy gave Drew to an orphanage, while Franco continued living there and suffering abuse. Then Franco sustained a head injury in the bombing of the Floating Rib and had to have brain surgery. Franco had been told the tumor was inoperable, and he and his wife had made plans to travel to California.
Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) had made plans with Dr. Patrick Drake (Jason Thompson), Robin’s husband, to operate and remove the tumor. Longtime viewers will recall that Patrick operated on Jason several times successfully, even removing some glass that had been in his brain for years. As it was, the explosion stopped or at least postponed that plan; but Dr. Lucas Jones (Matt Trudeau) informed Elizabeth he was able to remove part of it. At least the pressure on Franco’s brain would be relieved. Now, the big question is – might Franco remember more of his childhood after Drew was removed from the Frank home?
Might he remember some other boyfriends Betsy had after she gave Harvey the boot? Could Cyrus have been one of them? Remember, Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) Franco’s birth father wasn’t only involved with Heather Webber (Robin Mattson). He was Laura Collins’ (Genie Francis) first husband, and trying to help her with the forty-something year old case Cyrus is so interested in. Franco is older than Drew, so he’s older than Jason although not by much.
The case Cyrus is interested in was from the late seventies, and Scotty and Laura divorced in 1979. Scotty and Heather were involved later. Could Franco remember Cyrus from his youth and perhaps remember hearing him and Betsy talk about something related to the case? Could Franco’s memories help Scott help Laura?
