General Hospital (GH) spoilers show Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) was a complicated and trouble woman. She was the daughter of Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and Silas Clay (Michael Easton). Nelle did not get to know that Nina was her mother. Nelle came to Port Charles and started to cause trouble for Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and her family.
GH recaps reveal Nelle wanted to find a place where she would be accepted. Nelle got involved with Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell). Carly was not sure if she wanted Michael to date Nelle. Michael and Nelle had a difficult relationship that ended badly.
Nelle had been pregnant with Michael’s son Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Theodore and Eric Olson) when the relationship ended. Nelle did not want Michael to raise his son. She gave her son to Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) and his husband Lucas Jones (Matt Trudeau). After a while Michael found out that Wiley was his son.
According to General Hospital spoilers and recaps, Nelle and Michael went to court to get custody of Wiley. Nelle lost her case when Nina testified against her. Nelle wanted to get her son so she got her husband Julian Jerome (William deVry) to kidnap him. Nelle tried to get away with Wiley but was stopped by Michael and Carly. Nelle and Carly fought which led to Nelle falling from a cliff to her death. Nelle may have found a way to survive the fall from the cliff.

Nelle fell into the river from a cliff outside of Port Charles, New York. The authorities found Nelle’s body on the Pennsylvania side of the river instead of the New York side of the river. Nelle’s body had been exposed to the elements and could have been misidentified. Nelle was a strong swimmer. She could have gotten to shore and went to a hospital. She could have met Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy) who is a nurse in a town in Pennsylvania called Nixon Falls. Phyllis helps people that have nowhere to go. Could Phyllis have helped Nelle? Could Phyllis know where Nelle is?
GH Spoilers & Rumors – Nelle Benson Could Have Gotten Help
Nelle could have had a plan in place if she could not get away with Wiley. Nelle had been married to Shiloh AKA David Henry Archer (Coby Ryan McLaughlin). Shiloh was a cult leader of an organization called Dawn of Day that had many loyal followers.
According to General Hospital rumors, Nelle could have gotten his followers to help her get away if she got into trouble. She could have arranged with their help to have a Jane Doe made up to look like her so that the authorities would think that they had found her body. Nelle could be in hiding waiting for the right time to come back to try to get Wiley. Could the members of Dawn of Day helped Nelle fake her death?

General Hospital Spoilers – Nelle Benson May Not Be Truly Gone
General Hospital Nelle is considered dead at this time. Nina made sure that she had a proper burial. Nina wanted to get a chance to get to know Nelle as her daughter. Could Nelle still be alive somehow? Could Nina and Nelle find a way to be mother and daughter? Could Nina help Nelle get to be a part of Wiley’s life? What might happen if Nelle is alive?

Oh god please do not bring her back
I know the consensus is very negative about the character of Nelle but every soap needs a good villain and Nelle was one of the best GH has had since Heather Webber. Not sure why most GH fans want the character to "stay dead" but her coming back presents an entire slew of really juicy story line possibilities involving multiple Port Charles residents – Nina, Michael, Willow, Carly, Sonny, just to name a few.
But however it plays out I am sure the writers all ready have their plans so we can agree or disagree until "the cows come home". They have made many decisions in the past that were very unpopular but worked out well in the end just as they have made many popular cast/character decisions that fizzled almost before they began.

Agreed Nell needs to stay gone. Stop bringing back the dead. Story line for her boring and tooooooo long!
I don't feel that Nelle is/was a good villain, just a person with many personality flaws that was very one dimensional and became boring in a short period of time, but continued for such a long period of time. Chole played the role of Nelle very well but I don't think she could be compared to Heather Webber. Heather had many dimensions and made her deviousness interesting. I don't see where Nelle could present juicy story line possibilities if she continues with the personality traits she left canvas with. I think viewers bore of the same people fighting with each other over and over again for long periods of time as nothing new is brought to character interactions. Nelle in my opinion is just like the Peter character, I don't care of he/she stays around just allow for a change in the characters objectives and personalities. This is just my opinion and not disrespecting your post in any way.
Please let her stay dead or just give her her own soap, her storyline always takes over the soap and every other story is pushed to the side,she’s exhausting and not worth it.
