General Hospital Spoilers & Rumors: Shocking Twist Reveals Valentin Cassadine Is Sasha Gilmore’s Father?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers and rumors tease that a shocking twist will reveal that Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) is a Cassadine after all, and that Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) is his daughter in upcoming episodes of General Hospital!

General Hospital Spoilers – Two Who’s The Daddy Questions Answered During February Sweeps!

It seems that two who’s the daddy questions will be answered surrounding the Cassadines during General Hospital’s 2021 February sweeps. Another one will be answered concerning Detective Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) but that’s another story.

Now the question is which Cassadine was Valentin’s father, and how exactly will this shocker be revealed? General Hospital viewers will recall that when Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) returned to Port Charles about a year and a half ago, he was in full Cassadine mode and being very secretive and very sneaky.

General Hospital recaps show Valentin Cassadine had kept his survival a secret for over five years, and had been spotted in Europe several times with Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig) on surveillance cameras. However, he always managed to keep his face unrevealed as they passed by the cameras, turning his head away from them or doing other things to stay in disguise and under the radar. Nikolas was also very desperate – desperate to prove that he, not Valentin was the true heir to Mikkos Cassadine’s (John Colicos) fortunes.

He had known of a codicil added after Mikkos’ original will, the one that Valentin had a copy of. Viewers will remember that after much searching, Ava Jerome (Maura West) now Ava Cassadine, found it behind Helena Cassadine’s (Constance Towers) portrait, which later burst into flame as it was up for auction in her gallery – after the codicil was removed, of course.

GH Spoilers & Rumors – Did Nikolas Cassadine Fake The Codicil And The Paternity Test?

General Hospital spoilers show viewers will recall that Nikolas used the codicil, once he and Ava found it, and a paternity test he forced Valentin into to prove Nikolas was the one and the only Cassadine heir – at least as long as he is alive. After that, everything would go to Spencer Cassadine (Nicolas J. Bechtel).

But remember – Nicolas was very desperate then. He and Valentin were in a war over who was the true heir. When that painting was done, it was obviously before Helena died, and it was done when she was living in Port Charles at Wyndermere Castle with Nikolas and Spencer.

Nikolas was no angel back then either – she had one big clue painted into it that was supposed to reveal he had been poisoning her tea, and the image of a man could be seen in the teapot in the painting. No one ever figured it out though – but Nikolas knew. There is a good chance that Nikolas had something with his grandfather’s signature on it and forged the codicil with Mikkos’ signature on it and put it inside the painting, before he faked his death the first time, anticipating his uncle Valentin would come after the Cassadine inheritance. So why the mad search for the codicil? Simple – that way Nikolas had a cover story, an alibi.

He knew where it was but he went to extreme lengths to hide the fact that he did! What about the DNA test that Valentin had done against Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) that proved they shared no DNA? That would have been a “half siblings vs. unrelated” paternity test. In this type of test, two individuals’ who have different biological mothers is compared to determine if they have the same father. However, to ensure an accurate test, it is recommended that both of the mothers’ DNA be tested also.

In Valentin and Alexis’ case, that was not possible. It is not always possible to obtain a conclusive or correct result when the two mothers’ DNA is not available because the inheritance and degree to which genetic markers are shared between two siblings or half-siblings are not the same as between a parent and a child. So, while Nikolas could have paid the lab to give a negative result, it actually may have just been wrong! Something will happen that will enable Valentin to prove that he’s a real Cassadine sometime in the month of February.

General Hospital 2021 Spoilers – How Could Valentin Cassadine Be Sasha Gilmore’s Father And How Might This Be Revealed?

The other “who’s the daddy” reveal surrounding Valentin is that he will be revealed as Sasha Gilmore’s father – but neither he nor Sasha know it now. It will be a total shock to both of them when the reveal comes. Many General Hospital fans have speculated that Sasha has to be related to Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) somehow – simply because of the strong resemblance between Sasha and Nina’s cousin, Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud). The family resemblance is striking, no one can deny that!

Britt obviously does not know of any relation to Sasha, although the two have seen each other. Neither have remarked on their resemblance. However, when Valentin was married to Nina, and Nina thought Sasha was her daughter, Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) was very protective over Sasha and very maternal towards her. True, this may have been solely to protect her niece, because she knew of the plan Valentin carried out to give Nina a daughter. But could Liesl have known something that she wasn’t telling?

It is quite possible. Other General Hospital spoilers tease that Britt will be revealed to have a serious health condition, something likely to do with her shaky hand. However, the real crisis could come if Britt, with her shaky hand, was using a surgical tool or even a steak knife and accidentally cut her wrist! It is possible that by the time she is found she will have lost a lot of blood and need a transfusion, and blood matching may need to be done. She may have a rare blood type, and Liesl’s doesn’t match. Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) is dead, and Peter August (Wes Ramsey) may not be a match either, and neither will Nina!

Liesl may be forced to reveal a long-held secret and beg mercy from Valentin and Sasha – and blood donation for Britta! It may be that Charlotte Cassadine’s (Scarlett Fernandez) conception wasn’t the only time that Valentin was drunk or drugged in order to procure some semen!

Perhaps Liesl, still desperate to capture Faison’s heart, tried one more time to produce a son, and had a baby girl and gave her up for adoption! That would account for Sasha’s strong resemblance to Britt on General Hospital, and neither Sasha or Valentin knowing they were daughter and father. In her days of chasing Faison, Liesl and Valentin would have had to have known each other and ran in the same circles!
