General Hospital’s Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) has made no secret of the fact that he set up and accident to take Jason out. However, perhaps Cyrus’ plan went a little off course when someone else needed Jason out of commission just as well. Cyrus and his henchman were convinced that they were responsible for Jason’s accident and hopeful death. Cyrus had approached Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) as well. Cyrus is seemingly trying to set up Brando to take the fall. Unfortunately, Cyrus may be very wrong about his target.

GH Spoilers – Valentin Cassadine Needed Sam McCall’s Shares

General Hospital’s Valentin needed control of Sam McCall’s (Lindsay Hartley) children’s voting shares. Sam wasn’t moving fast enough to suit Valentin so he needed to give her some incentive. Valentin had told Sam the offer would not be on the table forever. Sam’s desire to be with Jason is obvious to anyone who knows her. Valentin has been dangling a new parole officer in Sam’s face to get her to go along with this deal.

Perhaps Valentin chose to speed up Sam’s decision making. Valentin dealt when Sam and Drew Cain (Billy Miller) on Cassadine Island when Drew thought he was Jason. Valentin knows exactly how Sam feels about Jason and how she would react in a crisis. Did Valentin realize that Sam needed a tragedy to force her to side with him? Valentin knows that Sam would not leave Jason’s side if he were hurt. Valentin could have caused Jason’s accident to manipulate Sam.

The minute that Delores Padilla (Rebeka Montoya) heard of Jason’s accident, she rushed to General Hospital’s demanding access to Jason’s room. Delores was dead set on getting in and finding Sam there. Being with Jason would be a parole violation and Delores is dying to catch Sam up in anything to send her back to prison.

Of course, the thought of being separated from Jason would cause Sam to panic. Jason is not responding to anyone and that includes Sam at the moment. In comes Valentin to the rescue. Sam recalls Valentin’s promise and immediately calls him to help. Sam is willing to sign over her voting shares for the opportunity to be with the man she loves.
