General Hospital Spoilers: Ryan And Heather Come Face to Face — As Esme’s Parents

General Hospital spoilers reveals Recently, we saw the infamous Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) cross paths with the equally as infamous Heather Webber (Alley Mills). As they locked eyes and the guard at Spring Ridge questioned whether they knew one another, Heather pretended she knew Ryan in name only. She wasn’t prepared to go back in time and remember things the way they really were, but she will soon. We’re going to go back in time with Heather and Ryan, to where it all began — to where Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) began.

General Hospital Spoilers — The Backstory

Ryan and Heather are longtime Port Charles residents who have both left a swathe of scarred victims in their paths. Is it possible that along the way to building their own personas of legendary criminal masterminds, these two coupled up? Can’t you just picture Heather finding the man she always dreamed of in Ryan and finally feeling understood for who she was?

At the same time, how would she have escaped Ryan’s terror unless he truly loved her? If he loved her, why would he be keeping her identity a secret from Esme? Does he just want his daughter all to himself? The truth may be far more sinister than that.

GH Spoilers – Tease Heather Webber May Not Know The Truth

Heather might not have any idea she has a daughter. That happens from time to time in Port Charles. Just ask Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros). Both Ryan and Heather have spent chunks of time off-screen living their lives — often being locked up for one mental health reason or another. It’s possible they crossed paths in one of those institutions over the years, or when Ryan was on the run, which has happened more than once. It wouldn’t be outside of Ryan’s skill set to coax Heather into becoming his hostage or even inducing her into a deluded life with Stockholm Syndrome.

If she was under Ryan’s twisted love spell, he may have let her think their child didn’t make it while he put the baby up for adoption. Still, it’s also possible Heather was aware of Ryan’s demented ways and didn’t want him to have anything to do with the baby. Their hook-up could’ve produced a pregnancy she never told him about, and she may be the last person he thinks could’ve been Esme’s mother.

With Heather hanging out at Spring Ridge as their artist-in-residence, she and Ryan might have more time to cozy up to one another. Will it be just like old times? Were these two embroiled in a love affair some twenty years ago that only they know about? When Heather overhears Ryan’s interview with the PCPD, she just might start putting the pieces together and recognize that Ryan’s former aide could be the child they gave up for adoption.
