The film references the late clairvoyant Edgar Cayce who promoted the idea at the heart of the film, the practice of tuning in. Tuning in is a mysterious and ancient practice that involves the ability to tune in to other levels of consciousness and subsequently channel messages from intelligent beings who are in another time and space.

Carnes debuted as Lucas in 2004, and with a short break in between, has been the portrayer of the capable doctor ever since.

At the moment we haven’t seen Lucas in a while. In the past, he was in a supposedly happy marriage with Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) but Lucas had no idea what a schemer his husband was.

Brad took Nelle Benson’s (Chloe Lanier) baby and passed it off as their own, spawning a very tangled web of deceit, lies, and even an accident which nearly claimed Lucas’ life.

After the tragic car crash set in motion by his own dad Julian Jerome (William deVry), Lucas was in an extended coma and when he came out of it the truth about the baby hit him hard.

He dumped Brad who went to jail for his crimes and now Lucas is seldom seen except in random appearances at GH.
