General Hospital Spoilers: Ryan Isn’t Esme’s Dad — And Heather Knows It! Who Is?

General Hospital spoilers reveal nothing is as it seems over at Spring Ridge. For the last year, we’ve seen Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) and Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) come to know one another and father and daughter.

Their relationship has blossomed in much the same way it would for a familial pair that were not psychopaths. When Heather Webber (Alley Mills) showed up on the scene, Ryan seemed to immediately know she had to be Esme’s birth mother, likely based on the timeline counting back from Esme’s age and when she was born.

Still, just because Ryan and Heather were a couple back when Esme would have been conceived does not mean Heather was only getting busy with Ryan. How will he retaliate when he finds out he was never Esme’s father and she let him fall in love with her when he was doomed to lose her — just like he lost Heather?

General Hospital Spoilers — Heather Webber Knows the Truth

Heather knows Ryan isn’t Esme’s father; she’s always known. When she told him she went to great lengths to hide Esme from him and make sure he never learned of her pregnancy, that was all a ruse to lead Ryan to think he got one over on her. Appealing to Ryan’s ego works well in making him fall for her and Esme’s plan.

Esme’s father may be someone else of key importance — like Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner), though we hope not because that would only add to his and Liesl Obrecht’s (Kathleen Gati) grief in the wake of Britt Westbourne’s (Kelly Thiebaud) death. However, Esme’s father might also be a random guy no one knows, and for all we know, one of Heather’s victims who is long gone now. Only she knows; Heather has left Esme under the impression that Ryan really is her father.

GH Spoilers – Hint Esme Price Remains In The Dark

As long as Esme doesn’t know that Ryan isn’t really her father, she will continue to lure him in out of interest in truly connecting with him. Heather knows that is only going to work to her advantage. She’s not sure she will ever even tell Ryan or Esme the truth about their invalid connection, because it works so well for her that they believe otherwise. We can’t be certain that Heather planned from the start for Esme to track Ryan down, but she may have thought over the years that the mementos Esme had with her would lead back to him. If they did, she knew she could use them to her advantage.

General Hospital Spoilers — Ryan Chamberlain May Know More Than He’s Letting On

Of course, Ryan is no idiot. He’s a criminal mastermind, but this time he’s pitted against someone much more alike to him. Who’s smarter: Ryan, or Heather? We’re about to find out as these two go toe to toe with one another in pursuit of their daughter’s love. We can expect any favoritism between Esme and Ryan might catch Heather’s goat and have her blurting out the truth when it’s convenient for her. However, will it bother Heather more if Esme prefers Ryan over her birth mom, or if Ryan prefers Esme over her? Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to find out.
