As many fans know, Maxie (Kirsten Storms) left Port Charles for Portand after she married Nathan (Ryan Peavey) to sort out of her issues. That’s because Kirsten was on leave but now that she’s back, it’s Nathan’s turn to hit the door. He’s taking a little break from the soap series to focus on his new film, Harvest Love on the Hallmark Channel. Interestingly, Ryan will be working with his co-star Jen Lilley, who happened to be recast as Maxie on General Hospital as well.
Harvest Love tells the story of a widowed surgeon who visits her family’s pear orchard in hopes of taking a break from her hectic life. She also wants to reconnect with her son. But instead she starts to fall for the farm manager, Will, who is growing a new hybrid pear and teaches her the importance of her heritage. The film is set to air on the Hallmark Channel on September 30.
Ryan is currently filming the movie in British Columbia with his co-stars. He even shared a new behind-the-scenes photo from the set on his Instagram account. Sitting next to his young co-star, Ryan captioned his photo with, “This is Brenden, and he is a genius. Not on social media yet, but I think that’s a good thing.”
Ryan is expected to return to General Hospital later this year. In the meantime, let us know what you think by dropping us a line with your thoughts in our comments section below.
