General Hospital Spoilers: Ryan Paevey’s Acting Hiatus-Taking A Break For A While

General Hospital spoilers and updates tease Ryan Paevey, GH’s former Nathan West is talking an acting break. For the past several years, he’s been playing Donovan Darcy on a series of Hallmark Movies, but he hasn’t yet been called for any more in the series.

General Hospital Spoilers – Nathan West Was Maxie Jones’ Husband

To refresh viewers’ memories, Nathan was Maxie Jones’ (Kirsten Storms) husband and Dante Falconeri’s (Dominic Zamprogna) partner, and he was James West’s (Gary James Fuller) birth father.

As time went on, it also turned out he wasn’t Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) little brother, he was her cousin-and Peter August’s (Wes Ramsey) half-brother.

He was also Britt Westbourne’s (Kelly Thiebaud) full brother-he was killed in the Crimson Magazine office by Peter, in front of Maxie.

After his GH character was killed off, Ryan did score a one episode role as Victor Lake in Brooklyn Nine Nine, but then nothing until Hallmark hired him as Donovan Darcy.

But since he hasn’t heard anymore recently from Hallmark, he plans to take a break from acting as he posted on his social media.

GH Spoilers – Projects Made With Friends?

Ryan seemed a bit discouraged as he tweeted fans in an X post recently; he’s had a rough past eight months in the movie industry. He may do some independent projects with friends should the occasion arise.

He describes his work life for the past eight months as leaving a pretty bitter taste in his mouth, and he needs some time away. He described a world so full of empty promises and fake friends; he’s weary indeed.

However, he later reassured concerned and disappointed followers that he has much to be grateful for and find a way to stay afloat without acting income.

He is a talented jewelry designer and did that for a while before the Hallmark opportunity came calling; Kirsten bragged about a necklace he’d made her as a sweet goodbye gift.

General Hospital Spoilers – Willing To Do More Hallmark Movies

Ryan also noted he’d be glad to come and work for Hallmark again if he got that call, either as Donovan Darcy or perhaps a new character.

That’s not out of the realm of possibility, Days of Our Lives’ Sami Brady, Alison Sweeney has had several movie series as several different characters as has GH’s Cameron Mathison.

Ryan would like to think they’d call him back, but in the meantime says he’ll just “do life and work and what happens, happens”.

Ryan’s movies for Hallmark include Fourth Down and Love and Under the Christmas Sky in 2023.

Previous movies were Pride & Prejudice-inspired Unleashing Mr. Darcy and Marrying Mr. Darcy, and Harvest Love, Hope at Christmas, From Friend to Fiancé, and Coyote Creek Christmas.
