General Hospital (GH) spoilers indicate that fans are still reeling over the news that Kelly Monaco is leaving the soap. Reports reveal that GH viewers should brace themselves for a fall exit, and it sounds like the show has decided to kill the character off.
Still, fans know that no one is truly dead in the land of Port Charles, so while it is shocking that Kelly/Sam is leaving, this may not be the end of the road for either the actress or the character.

As a private eye, and the partner of a cop, not to mention the baby momma and ex of a mobster’s henchman, Sam is no stranger to adventure or danger. From getting shot to possibly being thrown off a cliff, there are multiple ways Sam could pass away.
Still, will it be a way that opens a door to a return? Something along the same lines of how Spencer Cassadine (last played by Nicholas Chavez) recently died, falling out of a boat, where the body was not recovered?
GH Spoilers – Does It Matter?
At the end of the day, soap characters can die in any fashion, and there’s always a way to bring them back to canvas if writers are crafty enough.
One only needs to point to the deaths and resurrections of Jake Webber (Hudson West), Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), and Robin Scorpio-Drake (Kimberly McCullough), not to mention half of the Cassadine Family, as a few examples.
Still, fans were completely caught off guard that the show has decided to kill Sam, but isn’t that what soapy storylines aim to do: shock, surprise, and delight fans in the process?

I don’t think they’d “kill” Sam where she simply disappears – remember that Lulu needs a liver. I’m guessing Sam will be a match for Lulu, and then Dante lives with the fact that his girlfriend dies and saves his ex-wife & mother to his son (whom he still loves). If that happens, it will be a constant reminder of Sam for him. Kinda weird, but very soapy!
I think Sam will die trying to recover the gun Alexis threw off the bridge!

I have a feeling that general hospital will suffer the same exact fate as all of the other cancelled soaps. I don’t see it lasting 72 years like the better written guiding light then again none of the other soaps will last that long. And with dumb P+G creating the gates yeah we all know how they treated there soaps I give the gates 1 or 3 years tops
