The two are rarely in scenes together, and there’s a distant gap between them. Much of this has to do with the fact that since Drew has arrived on the scene in Port Charles, Jason has been missing, and vice versa. Jason exited from storylines in 2012, only to re-enter them in 2017, and exit again in 2021.
Meanwhile, Drew arrived on the PC scene in 2014 to exit in 2019 and then return in 2021.
Still, even though Jason has been back for a while, these two haven’t attempted to try and form a bond. Could Sam McCall’s (Kelly Monaco) death change all that?
General Hospital Spoilers – Goodbye, Sam McCall
GH spoilers for the fall reveal that Sam will be killed off, as the shocking news of Kelly Monaco’s exit recently hit.
While Dante Falconeri’s (Dominic Zamprogna) world will fall apart when he loses Sam, both Jason and Drew will mourn the loss of their ex. Drew and Sam had a healthy co-parenting relationship, even if they didn’t always see eye-to-eye.
While Sam wanted Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) as far away from Jason as possible and fought to keep the two apart, “Stone Cold” somewhat understood her perspective; he knew she was only trying to protect him. Jason still cares for Sam despite their differences, and he’ll certainly be heartbroken when she passes away.
GH Spoilers – Single Fathers Come Together For The Kids
Both Drew and Jason once loved Sam, and now that she’s gone the absentee fathers will have to step up to the plate for their children. While both Drew and Jason are used to taking off to save the world at a moment’s notice, they won’t be able to do so any longer.
As single fathers, their main priority is their children, and not only could losing Sam bond the two on that level, but also on their new-found single dad status.
Not to mention that Danny and Scout Quartermaine (Cosette Abinante) are not only cousins but also half-siblings. To honor Sam, the two dads will have to put their differences aside to ensure that Danny and Scout spend as much time together as possible to retain their sibling bond.
But, could they also grow closer in this process?

[…] As soon as Scott realized Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) was onto them, he seemed to vanish, leaving his box full of treats behind. Was that fear on his part leading him to jump ship until the dust settles and it feels safe to come back, or did someone take Scott against his will? […]

I hate that Sam will die!
As Drew has become a complete stinker, and under the circumstances of Drew having been involved with Sam, I don’t feel the two will ever be brotherly. The Drew character has never been supported properly to allow most viewers to love or dislike him, but now most seem to want him off canvas completely due to writers destroying the character with a possible Drew/Willow connection. Don’t really feel the character would be missed by many.
Killing off Sam is the stupidest thing gh has done I honestly don’t care about Drew I can’t stand him and the whole Jason and Anna makes me sick most boring soap on daytime anymore
