General Hospital Spoilers: Sasha Gilmore Wants to Protect Michael Corinthos – Plan Might Possibly Backfire

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) only wants what she believes is best for her boyfriend, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell). That may mean working together with Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) to create what she calls “a safety net.” By that, GH fans will recall that Sasha means “friends relying on each other when the other people need help.” But will Michael or Willow Tait (Kate MacMullen) appreciate Chase and Sasha’s efforts?

Earlier, Michael revealed to Sasha that he was taking a leave of absence from ELQ in order to be a full-time dad. Sasha supported him in that decision, letting him know how much she loves and respects him. In her love-filled eyes, he’s the kind of guy that almost compulsively does the right thing. That includes pushing Willow to remain in Wiley Cooper-Jones’s (Erik and Theo Olson) life.

GH Spoilers – Harrison Chase Has A Talk With Michael Corinthos

The efforts Michael continues to make in order to bring Willow back into Wiley’s life don’t resonate so well with Chase, however. Not long after Michael leaves to attend the arraignment hearing of Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier), Wiley’s birth mother, Chase arrives to have a serious talk with Michael. When he learns that Michael isn’t there, he talks with Sasha instead.

Chase lets Sasha know directly that he believes Michael is messing with Willow’s head, and that he needs to stop. Chase believes that Willow needs time and distance to heal. Michael’s insistence that Willow changes her mind jeopardizes that. Sasha insists that Michael truly cares about Willow and would never do something intentionally to harm her mental state. Chase agrees but states that the entire reason he is there is because he doesn’t believe Willow is in the right frame of mind to advocate for herself.

GH Spoilers – Harrison Chase Went Behind Willow Tait’s Back

Viewers can probably understand the motivations of these two GH characters who care so deeply for their respective love interests. However, questions may arise in the minds of fans when they understand that Chase went to speak to Michael behind Willow’s back. Although Sasha is hesitant at first, she begins to see Chase’s actions for those of a concerned and loving boyfriend. She empathizes because she feels the same way about Michael.

The two agree to pay attention to their respective partners and to let each other know when they feel either Michael or Willow needs emotional support. Although Sasha calls this a safety net, Chase calls it spying!

One has to wonder with whom either Michael or Willow would agree. In the end, could the efforts of Chase and Sasha to protect their loved ones actually push those they love most away?
