General Hospital Spoilers – Sasha Gilmore Digs Altruistic Evil
Most GH viewers know that at one point, Valentin paid Sasha to pretend to be Nina Reeves’s (Cynthis Watros) daughter. Despite how unethical this deception was, Sasha kept up the pretense for quite a long time. First, this was because she actually became fond of Nina and didn’t want to hurt her, and secondly because she “understood” Valentin’s motives. Sasha knew that Valentin wasn’t creating this illusion to harm Nina, but was instead trying to provide her with the daughter for which she yearned.
With that said, Sasha knew what she was doing was wrong. Her conscience ate at her for the entire time until she finally confessed the entire truth to Nina in an emotional outburst. That’s all beside the point though because Sasha knew that what Valentin wanted for Nina was a good thing. Valentin wanted the pain in Nina’s heart concerning her long lost daughter to vanish. If Valentin could make that happen, no matter how Machiavellian the methods to reach that goal, wouldn’t it be worth it? It’s obvious that Sasha admired that commitment on Valentin’s part.
Perhaps that’s Sasha fantasized in her mind that she and Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) were like the noble character Sydney in Charles Dickens’ novel, “A Tale of Two Cities” when they conspired to ditch their respective romantic partners “for their own good.” (The character of Sydney gave up his life for the sake of his one true love.)
GH Spoilers & Updates – Valentin Cassadine Swings Toward the Light
Now, GH fans know that Valentin Cassadine is no angel. However, they also know that recently Valentin has been making moves toward some real changes in his life for the better. That’s the case ever since he had a deep, heart-to-heart conversation with Nina about his original decision to let Lulu Spencer-Falconeri (Emme Rylan) get full custody of their daughter, Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez). Of course, Valentin’s original intentions were noble.
He didn’t want Charlotte to end up an evil old codger like himself one day. However, Nina pointed out that Charlotte wouldn’t end up wicked if Valentin could just find it within himself to become a better man. Since that conversation, GH fans have watched Valentin make an effort to change (at least to a degree).
This change of heart and mind on Valentin’s part is relevant here since viewers know that he and Sasha had a conversation after Valentin discovered that Sasha got dumped by Michael and that Michael had chosen to marry Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) not long after. During that conversation, Valentin was incredibly empathetic and acted like an actual human being.
This was probably important to Sasha. Though Valentin couldn’t have known it, Sasha’s already been tempted by cocaine. In an effort to ignore her emotional pain, Sasha’s ready to get high.
Now, after being called every name in the book by Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) and loads of others throughout Port Charles for “cheating” with Chase, GH viewers can agree that Sasha’s whole being was probably yearning for someone to be kind. Voila! Valentin provided that during this conversation.
ABC General Hospital Spoilers Scoop – Sasha Gilmore And Valentin Cassadine In Love?
Some GH fans might agree that if there aren’t immediate sparks between two people, they won’t last as a couple. However, if they believe that, they would be wrong. As GH fans know by now, Willow has told Michael that she’s still in love with Chase. Yet, apparently she and Michael are willing to push through and make a marriage in which neither are “in love” with the other work.
With Sasha and Valentin apparently finding common ground on ABC General Hospital, and with both sharing certain aspects of character and outlook on life, mightn’t these two begin to bond? Mightn’t the fact that Valentin reached out to Sasha in an act of kindness be the impetus for a new romance between these tragic GH characters?
Both Valentin and Sasha have had some hard knocks up until this point (whether of their own making or not). Now some GH viewers believe not only could Valentin be the one to rescue Sasha from moving down a path to drug addiction, but these two could be the cure to the other’s broken heart.
I do feel bad for Sasha. She gave up her happiness with Michael so that he could try to get custody of Wiley. I rather hope this drug situation bring Sasha and Michael back together. I would rather see Valentin be like a father figure to Sasha and help her. I do not want Valentin and Sasha paired up.
Thank you! My thoughts exactly!! I think it will be much more interested and heartfelt too give the two characters woth hardly any family a bond to count on and to lean on!! 🙂
Yes, Willow & Michael do not belong together! Boring!!
I’m very much suprised at the reading of Sasha and Valentin becoming a couple. I see Valentin as a comforter, counselor, a friend, or even a father figure; but a couple, NO! However. I do feel sorry that things did not work out for her and Michael, but this is not the end of the rainbow. Seek help and comfort through discussions, counseling and other activities. Things happen, this too, shall pass.
I love Sasha and hope her and Valentine connect… they would be great together… they have chemistry
