General Hospital Spoilers: Sasha’s Troubles Continue, Gladys Causes Financial Ruin!

General Hospital spoilers tease that Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) has tried her best to support Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) after her son Brando Corbin’s (Johnny Wactor) death at the hands of the Hook. Brando’s death is a senseless tragedy and made even worse so by the fact that he may not have been the serial killer’s intended target. Gladys agreed to become Sasha’s conservator, meaning that she has control of all of Sasha’s funds. Sasha needed a conservator after her drug addiction led to some very public outbursts and other illegal activities.

Although they haven’t always seen eye to eye, Sasha knows that Gladys only wants the best for her. The duo did have a disagreement early on about how to handle Deception’s response to Lucy Coe’s (Lynn Herring) disappearance but Sasha was able to convince Gladys to side with her. Later, Gladys reintroduced herself to Selina Wu (Lydia Look), calling herself a fellow investor of Selina’s in Deception.

Gladys made it a point to tell Selina that she has a controlling interest in Sasha’s finances. Selina’s ears perked up and she immediately invited Gladys to her high-stakes poker games which are held in the back room at the Savoy. Selina provided Gladys with the secret password needed to get into the exclusive games. Gladys seemed extremely interested, but she hid the card when Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard) showed up and interrupted their conversation. Sonny was obviously suspicious of any interaction between Selina and Gladys, especially with Gladys’ history.

Gladys has come a long way from the person she was when she first came to Port Charles. General Hospital spoilers tease Gladys used her connection to Sonny to try to live the high life, although Sonny wasn’t having it. But as she grew closer to Brando and eventually Sasha, Gladys seemed to actually care for them both more than money and power. But Gladys is still the same person she always was deep down. Her only way into the poker games is with Sasha’s wealth so look for her to use her daughter-in-law’s money for her own ends. Selina controls every aspect of these games and may very well have a say in who wins and who loses.

Sonny is well aware of Gladys’ shortcomings and he told Sasha to let him know if Gladys does anything, not in Sasha’s best interest. Sasha may not realize what is happening until it’s too late, especially if Gladys doesn’t tell her about the poker games. While Sonny will certainly help Sasha out, Gladys could very well have to answer to Sonny, Sasha, and even Selina if she loses big. Sasha’s entire fortune could be at stake thanks to Gladys’ shenanigans.
