General Hospital Spoilers: Scott Betrays Nina, Exposes Sonny’s Secret Love Story To Win Court Case?

General Hospital spoilers reveal that Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) is determined to win the case against Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros). Even more determined to secure Nina’s freedom is Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati). The flashback scene from last week could be a huge clue of what is going to happen next. Could Scott ignore Nina’s order and expose the Nixon Falls romance?

General Hospital Spoilers – Sonny Corinthos’ Omission

GH spoilers reveal that when Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) remembered his true identity and returned to Port Charles, he should have told Carly Corinthos (≈) everything. Carly found out that Nina knew about Sonny and allowed his family to continue grieving.

However, Carly still doesn’t know that Sonny and Nina had a romance in Nixon Falls. Sonny had amnesia, so he can’t be accused of cheating or intentionally betraying Carly. Sonny said that he will tell Carly “when the time is right.” There is never going to be a right time and the longer Sonny keeps this secret, the worse it will be.

GH Spoilers – Scott Baldwin’s Strategy

Scott knows that Sonny and Nina knew each other in Nixon Falls. Despite Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) getting the ball rolling on Nina’s arrest and trial, Sonny isn’t eager to slam the defendant in court. Scott is curious as to why and he might soon find out the real reason – that Sonny and Nina weren’t just acquaintances or friends in Nixon Falls, but had a romance happening between them.

General Hospital Spoilers – Liesl Obrecht’s Realization

General Hospital spoilers reveal that Obrecht has found out about Nina’s court case. When Scott mentioned that maybe Sonny is still “Mike the bumpkin bartender,” Obrecht had a flashback. Liesl now realizes that “Mike” and Sonny are one and the same. Liesl feels that Nina should fight for her freedom. If Nina isn’t willing to do that for herself, then Liesl might use her relationship with Scott to make it happen.

GH Spoilers – Betrayal And Freedom?

Obrecht hasn’t told Scott about Nina and Sonny’s true dynamic in Nixon Falls. However, it seems like that is about to happen. If Obrecht tells Scott what she knows, Scott might urge Nina to allow him to use the romance as a defense. However, Nina probably won’t allow that. Nina seems to think that the key to her redemption is to go to prison. Even if Nina orders Scott not to use the romance as a defense, he just might do it anyway. Could Scott betraying Nina’s request lead to her freedom?

If so, it might also lead to Sonny having to explain his secrecy to Carly. The couple is already having some issues, so this will just make Carly question the real reason why Sonny didn’t tell her the truth from the beginning. Was it really due to it being “not the right time,” or could Sonny be in denial about his feelings for Nina?

I know that you need to keep the suspense going to have a story line, however, stop dragging out this drama and deception by Sonny to Carly. Maybe if Sonny comes clean, you can deal with the underlying issue of why he cheated in the first place, and maybe that can be worked through in a healthy therapeutic setting. Stop repeating past drama scenes. Most of your audience have watched GH for a long time, and the story lines are the same repetitious scenes. Recycling old scenes. You have an opportunity to do research and show how the mind can betray us. We are not mindless viewers; we all have common sense.
