Kin Shriner has been in several soap operas throughout his career, but he is most recognized as Scott Baldwin on General Hospital. He is an actor and the son of TV personality Herb Shriner.
Kin is particularly known for his role as Scott Baldwin, which he first took on in 1977.

Kin Has Been Off The ABC Soap For More Than A Year
Currently, Scott Baldwin has been absent from General Hospital for more than a year; the character disappeared in 2024, and other characters have not mentioned him at all.
His long absence included time spent recovering from a foot injury, which he shared updates about, and he recently talked about moving back to the LA area after living in Florida near his twin, Wil Shriner.
During this period, Shriner has posted some nostalgic moments from his time on the soap on social media. However, a recent post has left some fans curious about his potential return to Port Charles.
Shriner Shared On Instagram A Memory Post About Scotty And Laura’s Honeymoon

In a recent Instagram post, Shriner shared a black and white image with the caption, “Always been fun! Hope to do it again soon!! Scotty Laura Honeymoon @generalhospitalabc!”
This photo featured him and Genie Francis as Scotty and Laura during their Hollywood honeymoon in 1979, before Laura was paired with Anthony Geary’s Luke Spencer. Additionally, Kelly Kruger is set to return as Serena Baldwin later this summer on the soap.
Because of this, fans believe her father, Scott, might also return, and they have been expressing their thoughts on Kin’s recent post.
While many are hopeful to see him back on the show, others thanked the actor for the nostalgic photo.
