General Hospital Spoilers: Shocking Alex And Ryan Twin Theory

General Hospital spoilers tease that two sets of twins may have been brainwashed by Dr. Arthur Cabot years ago to think they are each other! Historical accounts of Alexandra Devane Marick’s (Finola Hughes) played out on the canceled TV soap “All My Children” during the time Finola was also playing Anna Devane on AMC seem to support this theory for Anna and Alex, and Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) and Kevin Collins may have been victims of brainwashing as well.

This could explain why Anna doesn’t remember knowing or meeting Dr. Cabot, and Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) found that Anna had also worked with Cabot in the same document that Kevin was found to work with him.

In the AMC history, Alex had been placed in a brainwashing facility disguised as a mental hospital, and had been brainwashed into thinking she was Anna, and forced her into a terrorist organization as a secret agent. That kind of sounds like the DVX under Cesar Faison’s (Anders Hove) leadership, doesn’t it?

Alex was actually programmed to kill Anna, and Anna was thought dead for many years until Alex found her being cared for in a seriously ill state in a cabin being taken care of by an old man named Bart (Ralph Waite). Bart had received information that Anna had a twin, and tracked her down to help care for Anna, who was getting much worse with seizures and fever.

The brainwashing facility very well could have been where the project Dr. Cabot was working on the blindness virus, along with mind control projects, which could be where Kevin Collins came in.

Alex frequently impersonated Anna throughout the years, including when Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) was seduced by her in their younger years, and Ryan has impersonated Kevin many times also. Alex was getting strange memory flashbacks while in Pine Valley, very similar to what Drew Cain (Billy Miller) experienced when he was starting to get Jason’s memories back. Alex was getting Anna’s!

Similarly, Kevin has thought he was Ryan several times over the years, and it was diagnosed as psychosis. Could the two sets of twins have been in the brainwashing facility at the same time, and brainwashed to think they were each other?

This could be where both Ryan and Anna contracted the blindness virus as well. It remains to be seen whether Alex pops up in Port Charles soon and we see her contract the virus, or Anna hears from her offscreen and she finds out that way, and if Kevin contracts it also.
