General Hospital Spoilers: Shocking Betrayal, Desperate Measures, Prison, Rivals Make Peace

General Hospital spoilers and updates for the week of Monday, July 3-Friday, July 7 tease prison, amends and betrayal; we should note Tuesday, July 4 is an encore episode.

Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) enters Pentonville, longtime rivals Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) make amends, and Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) is betrayed!

General Hospital Spoilers: Prison

As Drew enters Pentonville, he’ll receive a gift-and a protector. Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) instructed a prison guard of Drew’s imminent arrival into the system and called him a friend. As Cyrus protected Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) it looks like he wants to protect Drew and show him the ropes.

Drew will be there three years short a miracle, although he was in a Cassadine dungeon and brainwashed nearly that long. Nevertheless, it’s good to have a friend in prison that the other prisoners respect.

GH Spoilers: Amends

Meanwhile, Carly and Sam, longtime rivals over Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) when he was alive, make amends and clear the air. No doubt they are making peace for not only Drew’s sake, but for Sam and his daughter’s, Scout Cain (Cosette Abinante).

Drew was terribly worried how little Scout would take the news that he was going to prison for three years, but she took it in stride. Sam had done prison time a few years ago and she remembered that, and besides, this time they know Drew’s alive and where he is. Sam and Carly will work together from the outside to support Drew on the inside, as well, undoubtedly.

General Hospital Spoilers: Betrayal

As Sasha is seeing a psychiatrist, Dr. Damon Montague (Darin Toonder) to help her move out of her guardianship, Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) has other plans.

Little does Sasha know that the doctor is one of Gladys’ gambling buddies at the high stakes poker game at The Savoy, and they are working together. Gladys has only one move left to make sure she continues to have access to Sasha’s financial accounts, and it’s a really dirty one.

Sasha had to go into a guardianship, originally administered by Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) because of her drug use. Now Gladys asks Montague on the phone if he did it, he affirms he did and it’s only a matter of time-he’s giving Sasha pills.

GH Spoilers: Encore Episode

As for the encore episode on Tuesday, July 4th, it is the episode honoring the late Sonya Eddy as Epiphany Johnson. It originally ran on March 29, 2023 and was the episode prior to the kickoff of the 2023 Nurses’ Ball.

It explained how Epiphany died of a heart attack after breathing in smoke from a car wreck in which she saved the wreck victim. Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) had been extremely concerned she hadn’t heard from her friend only to call her and get a highway patrolman.

Gladys is one rotten of “B” I hope she’s gone from canvas SOON. I can’t stand to look at her any longer

Please NO MORE of the drugs for Sasha. She’s gone through enough; please let Sonny (or someone) help her out of the mess she’s in because of Gladys. And PLEASE past time to get rid of Gladys, and past time to get rid of Nina.
Come on, writers, wonder if you ever listen to fans. It’s way past time for Sonny to find out what Nina has done.
