Those plants would have been put in place long before he was arrested, and it’s possible they may help him escape!

He would have his plants take care of the beatdown, and it may well be a murder attempt-not tied to Sidwell, of course.

And even though it hasn’t happened yet, it’s possible Sidwell’s plants may pull off Sidwell’s escape-once certain things have been taken care of-Curtis, for instance.

Sidwell may be waiting for some other things to be in place as well, for instance, a new identity and a place to run to, and new businesses to run.

Sidwell will definitely have to start over if he indeed, does pull off an escape thanks to his plants inside Pentonville-but on the other hand, he may just stay in for a while.

It may give him a place to have power and be the top dog in the prison pecking order-that is likely very important to Sidwell to feel powerful instead of overpowered.

But if he does already have a network of plants inside, that may be the reason he agreed to a plea bargain, instead of taking his chances like Curtis did.

When Cyrus was there, he even ran his outside mob business from the inside, but his assets weren’t seized like Sidwell’s were. But it won’t be surprising if Sidwell starts a whole new illegal empire, running it from behind bars like Cyrus did.
