General Hospital spoilers tease that one man will live, and the other will cease to exist no matter what Judge Rachel Lasser (Gina Hecht) decides about Franco Baldwin’s (Roger Howarth) fate, as she has made a determination in this week’s General Hospital Sneak Peek “Deciding Franco’s Fate”.
General Hospital Spoilers – Judge Rachel Lasser Has Made Her Determination
Judge Rachel Lasser has made her determination in the competency case of Franco Baldwin, as Franco, his attorney Martin Gray, (Michael E. Knight) and Kim Nero (Tamara Braun) wait with a combination of anticipation and trepidation waiting for what she has to say. On the other side of the courtroom, Elizabeth Webber Baldwin, (Rebecca Herbst) Cameron Webber, (William Lipton) and Attorney Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) wait, along with Dr. Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom).
They share the same combination of anticipation and trepidation. General Hospital viewers will recall Kevin had asked his wife, Mayor Laura Collins (Genie Francis) to attend with him, to support Elizabeth and Cameron, but she has not yet arrived from where she was discussing Spencer Cassadine’s (Nicolas Bechtel) recent behavior with Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) in front of Kelly’s.
GH Spoilers – Judge Rachel Lasser Speaks And Prepares To Deliver Her Determination
Judge Lasser tells the two groups sitting before her in the courtroom that she has made her decision on the competency of Franco Baldwin. She reminds them that the business before the court is of no small significance, and that it poses questions of identity and self-determination, going to the very heart of the human condition.
She continues, asking the question, if the man before them, referring to Franco, possess the right to live life as he elects, (as General Hospital viewers know, currently as pre-2012 Andrew Cain, played by Steve Burton) or may he be compelled to resume the life he lead before being terribly, grievously violated? Judge Lasser says that there is no easy answer. She continues, saying that this matter is not merely academic, nor even simply legal. No matter what she has decided, one man will live, and the other will cease to exist!
General Hospital Spoilers – The Real Drew Cain Is Presumed Dead While His Memories Reside In Franco Baldwin
General Hospital viewers will recall that the real Drew Cain (Billy Miller) chose to not undergo the procedure, experimental, that may have restored his pre-2012 memories. They were stored on a flash drive that was stolen from his offices at Aurora Media at the request of Shiloh Archer (Coby Ryan McLaughlin), his old friend turned enemy in Afghanistan, who kidnapped him out of Afghanistan and sold him to Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) to make him into her “toy soldier.”
Drew’s memories were removed, stored on the flash drive by Dr. Andre Maddox (Anthony Montgomery) and replaced with Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) memories, which were copied from Jason when he proved untrainable and unable to be brainwashed by Helena. Drew didn’t want to run the risk of losing new memories made with Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and his daughter with her, Emily “Scout” Cain (Ella Ramacieri) or getting to know his late teenage son with Kim Nero, Oscar Nero (Garren Lake Stitt) who later wanted to go by Oscar Nero Quartermaine.
Drew, who went to Afghanistan to return ill-gotten gains to the Afghani people, is presumed dead and declared dead by the Navy, and his memories were transferred to Franco when he stepped in for Cameron, who had been kidnapped by Shiloh and was in the process of being forced to accept them. Now, the judge decides whether Franco will have a chance to have his memories restored or possibly uncovered, or if he will remain pre-2012 Drew Cain in every way but physically.
