General Hospital spoilers suggest Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) is not the bad guy he appears to be in that video footage.
While the people he once loved and left behind can’t seem to make sense of why he would be cooperating with anyone who was trying to kill Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), Jason is working to follow someone else’s orders while trying to avoid letting his new boss know he’s still on Sonny’s side.
Interrupted by the PCPD banging at the door, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) had no time to get to the bottom of where Jason had been, how he came back, or how he got shot. So how did he get here, and who is forcing his hand in an attempt on Sonny’s life?
General Hospital Spoilers — Where Has Jason Morgan Been?
The prevailing theory is that Jason has spent more than two years hiding out now, aware of retaliation against Sonny. But how did it come to be that way? Who got him out of that crumbling tunnel in Greece? Who nursed him back to health?
Likely, it was someone with a lot of money and poor intentions. It doesn’t sound like Jason has been fully brainwashed, but could he have been activated in the same way his brother, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison), was to be deployed when necessary?
If that’s the case, how did he manage to break free of that activation during the warehouse shooting?
GH Spoilers – Say Jason Morgan Is Playing Along For The Good Of The Team
Jason’s gunman companion clearly knew something was up when Jason botched the assignment for both of them.
Grabbing his partner’s arm when he was about to fire at Sonny was all the evidence he needed to know Jason was going rogue.
Watching him try to protect Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) was all the more concerning, and he was ready to take Jason out if it meant that was the only way to see this mission through. But Jason was prepared to take out his gunman comrade.
General Hospital Spoilers — Who Wants Sonny Corinthos Dead?
If Jason doesn’t want Sonny dead, who does? Who is controlling Jason — and to what extent? Do they actually have control over his mind, similar to the way Peter August (Wes Ramsey) once hoped to and Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) actually implemented against Drew?
Or is Jason just playing along and letting them think they’ve got him right where they want him while secretly aiming to protect Sonny from the inside of his opponent’s organization? Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to find out.
