General Hospital spoilers indicate that fans will soon be seeing a new face in Port Charles and that this person will have some significant ties to Margaux. In fact, this mystery newcomer is just one of many new characters that fans can expect to see in Port Charles in the coming weeks.

New reports indicate that actress Ely Pouget will be joining the cast very soon. She will be playing Margaux’s mother, Jeanette. What makes this timing so interesting is that Sonny and Jason recently found out that Margaux’s mom apparently had a passionate affair with Joe Scully several years ago. It will be interesting to see how Margaux will handle all of this new information and of course, whether or not she will confront her mother while also demanding to know what the truth is. Sonny already knows that the Marino family has skeletons of their own, which mean that things are about to get quite interesting! Some even believe that Jeanette might have been the one to have shot her husband, and not Joe Scully or Sonny Corinthos. Of course, fans will find out soon enough.

If Ely looks familiar, it’s because she’s a television veteran who has been working in front of the cameras for several years now. She starred in the reboot of Dark Shadows back in 1991. Ely is also no stranger to the daytime television world. She played Dr. Laura Braun on The Young and the Restless back in 2009.
