General Hospital Spoilers: Sonny And Michael Can’t Help Carly — But Nina Can

General Hospital spoilers reveal Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) won’t be able to ride to Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) rescue anytime soon. Carly is actually guilty of committing insider trading, so she’s actually pretty lucky that all the federal government wants from her is a cool $5 million.

Still, coming up with the funds means she’ll have to say goodbye to the home she has shared with Sonny and raised her babies in all of these years. The lakeside palace is the only thing she wanted from Sonny when they divorced — for the fourth time. Meanwhile, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) is looking for a way to make things right. Will buying Carly’s place and letting her rent it suffice?

General Hospital Spoilers — Carly is Drowning in Debt

Carly doesn’t have another way out — not one that she’ll agree with anyway. Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) tried to offer to sell Aurora Media to pay the fine, but she wouldn’t even entertain that offer. Aurora is Scout Cain’s (Cosette Abinante) legacy and Carly isn’t about to dip into that. However, she can’t forsake all of her savings to get herself out of this mess either. She knows that life will be different with a condo on Charles Street to call home, but she expects that in time, Donna Corinthos (Scarlett Spears) will come to understand why her mom did what she had to do.

GH Spoilers Hint Michael and Sonny Can’t Help Her

The most obvious solution is that Sonny and Michael could easily foot the bill for Carly’s government debt, but Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) has clearly relayed to Carly that they are the last people who should be helping her out. The government is going to look for ways to sink its teeth into Sonny, and wrapping him up in her scandal will only shine another light on him. After all they’ve gone through to avoid having Sonny sent to prison, Carly isn’t about to risk that now because she has to pay for her crimes.

General Hospital Spoilers — Nina Tries to Atone for Her Sins

Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) has been looking for every possible way to get herself out of trouble and it’s become clear that there is no such escape from what she’s done. She worries every day that Sonny is going to find out she turned Carly and Drew in to the SEC and that their engagement will become a thing of the past. Instead of trying to get out of the hole she’s dug for herself, Nina may try to atone for her sins by buying Carly’s house. Will Sonny’s ex actually accept Nina’s offer to rent her home from her ex’s new fiance, whom she loathes? It’s not likely, but Nina may think it could go a long way toward making her look like less of a snake. Wrong again, Nina. Keep trying.
