General Hospital Spoilers reveal Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) doesn’t play around when it comes to his family.

When Ava Jerome (Maura West) let him know the kinds of threats she was facing, and that these sinister people were coming after him and Avery Corinthos (Grace Scarola), too, she was panicked inside while hoping Sonny would help her clean up this disaster that she’s made of her life.

Sonny was quick to go after Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth); admittedly, he didn’t like the guy to begin with. But Ava made sure to let him know Austin was more of an ally than a guilty part in the situation. What are the chances that Sonny’s instincts are sharper than Ava’s aptitude for discernment?

Sonny is currently biding his time in hopes that these fools blackmailing Ava will lead him right back to their puppet master. But when that doesn’t happen, he won’t have any reason to keep Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Grey) around.

Every threat he makes against Ava and her family only runs the risk of coming true the longer Sonny lets these people take control of the situation. Snuffing him out is the easiest solution the don will come to, and it shouldn’t surprise his baby mama one bit.

It won’t be long after Mason is killed that his cousin, Austin, starts to worry he might be next. Austin will be acutely aware that Ava foolishly filled Sonny in one everything, and he won’t be happy about it.

With a target on his back, Austin might feel he’s in over his head, but it won’t make sense to Ava. He’s done nothing wrong. He’s on her side. Why would Sonny come after him?
