It’s a distinct possibility that the man they’re referring to might be Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison), who is now back in the business world at Aurora Media. Sonny’s piers, long before Sidwell arrived in Port Charles, were part of the property Drew wanted for the McConkey Esplanade.
It never really materialized since Sidwell came to Port Charles before Drew could claim it and blackmailed the property from Sonny.
Business War Or A Deadly Mob Threat?
Is this a physical war or a bidding war-that is one important question that needs answering, because Sonny isn’t sending someone to take his opponent out.
However, General Hospital fall previews do forecast that Sonny’s continued exit from the mob may not be as easy as he thought it would be.
And there is a chance that someone from the old mob world would find this a prime time to attack, and it could be nothing to do with the Sidwell auction.
Even though the original Five Families of the Eastern Seaboard appear to be no more, and even Selina Wu (Lydia Look) has left the area, there may be new mob blood coming in.
There’s a chance that the mob may have gotten into some legitimate businesses with interests in town-and that’s who Sonny’s up against.
