General Hospital Spoilers: Sonny’s Backup Plan-Pay Witnesses To Frame A Fall Guy For Cates’ Murder?

General Hospital spoilers and rumors tease Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) has a backup plan just in case-and in spite of all precautions, he can’t keep himself or loved ones from arrest. There aren’t a lot of tears being shed for John “Jagger” Cates (Adam J. Harrington) and Sonny knows he had a lot of enemies-and those enemies like money!

General Hospital Spoilers – Alexis Davis And Kristina Corinthos-Davis Are Suspected

Sonny knows there are certain people who are under suspicion who don’t have good alibis like he does-he convinced his ex-wife Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) to give him one.

Carly may suspect he killed Cates but she’s not expressing her suspicions to anyone else-especially not knowing what  may be at stake.

Even Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) who formerly tried to take his father down is covering-he got rid of the bullet casing and also gave his father an alibi.

But now that Sonny and Alexis Davis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) daughter Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) was suspected and her mother got herself arrested covering for her, the game plan must change! Alexis’ car, which Kristina had driven to Sonny’s penthouse, stolen one of his guns and was going to kill Cates but chickened out, was seen near the Quartermaine boathouse!

GH Spoilers – The Gun Alexis Davis Threw Off The Bridge Would Exonerate Her

The gun Kristina stole that Alexis was seen throwing off Robin’s Bridge was not the gun used to kill Cates, although it used the same kind of bullets-9 millimeter.

Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) destroyed that gun and ammunition before he left for Africa with Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) to find and rescue Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson).

If only that gun was retrieved, it would exonerate Alexis and prevent anyone else from being charged for the murder, because it wouldn’t match the bullets taken from Cates’ body.

However, the police had been dragging the river for the gun for several days, since Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) had reported seeing Alexis dispose of it, to no avail.

Sonny has to come up with another plan, and with Jason in Africa, he relies on his other henchmen and Brick (Stephen A. Smith).

General Hospital Spoilers – Several Of  JohnCates’ Enemies Found

It’s not difficult to find several enemies of Cates who had also had motives for murder, plus several victims who he’d also tried to shake down.

There was one guy found to be in Port Charles the night of the murder and Sonny gets several of Cates’ victims to take money to be witnesses to frame him.

The witnesses are paid to go to the PCPD and incriminate the suspect in Port Charles that night, even though Alexis was already in Pentonville denied bail.

Sonny had also had his men looking for the gun thrown into the river but for some reason, they couldn’t find it either.

This issue leads him to believe that someone else snatched it right after it was thrown in, but the PCPD is considering the suspect viable and Alexis is granted her bail!
