What in the world causes Sonny to revert to his old form? It is none other than a new mob threat. It starts out small then grows larger as Sonny’s enemies seem to sense that he isn’t the same OG he once was. Heck, if Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) can sense it, why wouldn’t his enemies be able to sniff out his potential weakness?

Next week, things start to turn for Sonny when he receives a stunning phone call. Next, slinky and sinister Selina Wu (Lydia Look) sidles up to Sonny. And if Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) pops back up like a bad penny, Sonny will have mobsters coming out of his ears.

GH spoilers – Is Sonny Corinthos Going To Blow His Top?

There is a hint as to what might be shaking down as we can tell you that Sonny tries to talk to his offended ex-wife Carly Corinthos. So is the trouble all about the kids? There is also baby Wiley to be concerned about.

Later Sonny Corinthos must grill someone about a mysterious matter that leaves him no choice but to turn to Brick (Stephen A. Smith) for help. Brick doesn’t hold a candle to Jason but he’s the next best thing so if Sonny needs his help it’s major.

General Hospital spoilers – What Happens Next In Port Charles, New York?

Then again, Sonny’s family is in the weeds. Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) punched sleazy reporter Smoltz (David Lautman) after he got saucy about Joss Jacks’ (Eden McCoy) sex tape. When Smotz called Michael’s sister quite an “athlete” on film Michael punched him just as Commissioner Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) came around the corner—off to jail he went.

Naturally Sonny will try to help Michael but the angry son wants none of it; he turns to Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) for legal advice. Elsewhere Joss and her boyfriend/film partner Cameron Webber (William Lipton) do there best not to be broken by it all.

But when the commissioner launches an investigation and all signs point to Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) as the culprit, all hell breaks loose!

      Sonny doesn't have to be written dark to be a mob boss just another situation in order to bring so called "drama" to canvas. Sonny' depression could be lifted by a stroke of the pen. Perhaps the mob threats will be Sonny's way back to his reality. All Sonny does is sit at the penthouse, drink and feel sorry for himself and how his life is going at the present time. Heck that is enough to drive anyone a little nuts. As far as Sonny is concerned, all events of NF needs to be placed on the back burner and then permanently burned to get Sonny back on the right track. Whether he ends up with Carly or Nina now is not important, he just needs to get back to himself before considering any pairing.
