General Hospital spoilers show that Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) gives Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) a bombshell idea for his defense of her niece Nina! General Hospital viewers see Liesl and Scotty sitting at a table in the Metro Court talking about Nina’s defense as they are getting ready to order a meal. Scott had been looking for something – anything – to get the case dropped in the preliminary stages, and Liesl thinks about it for a minute and remembered a conversation she’d had with Nina previously.

Liesl remembered back a few months ago when Nina had come back for a visit from Nixon Falls – to spend some time with her grandson, Wiley Corinthos (Caleb and Kyler Ends). They had gotten together for lunch to catch up and the subject of Nina’s love life and if she had one came up. Nina told her she’s found someone and he was a bartender named Mike. Liesl realized after Sonny returned and then Nina, that “Mike” must have been Sonny. She tells Scott that she thinks Sonny and Nina were in love in Nixon Falls!

GH Spoilers – Scott Will Need To Call Sonny As A Witness And Grill Him

General Hospital spoilers indicate Scott has been trying to come up with something – whether it be accusing Llantano District Attorney Richard Sheridan (David Jahn) of grandstanding the case, or anything. Scott doesn’t know about Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) making campaign contributions to Sheridan to take the case, or there could be a conflict of interest brought up that would get the case kicked out of court.

Sheridan’s campaigning for Pennsylvania Attorney General. That would be public knowledge, but accusing him of grandstanding Nina’s case to get attention from the media, and voters for his campaign wouldn’t be enough to get the case dropped by itself.

Grandstanding is not considered a conflict of interest. General Hospital viewers will see Scott subpoena Sonny as a witness, meaning he cannot decline to testify. Sonny has to go to the witness stand, take an oath with his hand on the Bible and swear to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth so help him God like any other witness in a criminal case! He’ll have to do this in front of Michael, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and Nina, who all will be shocked to see him take the stand in Nina’s defense!

General Hospital Spoilers – Sonny Corinthos Will Have To Tell The Truth, Or Face Conviction For Perjury!

General Hospital viewers know that Sonny will have to tell the truth, or face conviction for perjury! Longtime General Hospital viewers know that the last thing Sonny needs is yet another conviction, even if it’s for perjuring himself –it’s still another illegality on his long, long, laundry list of crimes! Of course, Scott will make his questions detailed, although not leading. “Leading a witness” means giving too many details so as to get the witness to state testimony in a prescribed manner in order to achieve a desired result. Instead of asking Sonny if he and Nina were in love, Scotty would have to phrase the question as asking what his relationship was to Nina or possibly what he thought of her.

However, Scott can ask a borderline leading question such as if he would consider his and Nina’s relationship to be romantic or platonic, and if the judge calls it out as leading the witness, Scott can withdraw the question and rephrase it. Still, if there is a jury, the jury members will hear it and it could be an influence. The judge may want to know what their relationship was, and direct Sonny as the witness to answer it! If pressed to tell his feelings for Nina, he’ll have to tell the truth! General Hospital viewers will remember it was Sonny who made the first moves on Nina as “Mike” and she was the one to turn down his mating calls!

      Sonny should just tell Carly ,the truth. because at that time he was calling him self Mike.

      Sonny should have told Carly when he first came home. They never did anything but kiss. He didn't know who he was at that time. She would have forgiven him right away.
