General Hospital stars Steve Burton (Jason Morgan) and Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) were recently forced to hit the pause button on their popular ‘Stone Cold and the Jackal Tour’ because of the coronavirus outbreak. But we’ve got good news for fans: the actors are still working on new material for a revamped version of their show. Here’s what you need to know.
General Hospital News: Steve Burton And Bradford Anderson Still Plan On Taking Their Revamped Show On The Road
Speaking to Soaps in Depth in a new interview, Steve Burton, who is best known for his role as Jason Morgan on the hit ABC soap, says that he knew both he and Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) had a good thing going when their fans couldn’t stop laughing at their shows. In fact, it was more than apparent that they were enjoying the duo’s performances during each of their sold-out shows.
The actor says, “We both vividly remember coming off stage in Indianapolis and knowing it was the best show. The audience was laughing the entire time. Everything really fell into place. And then we had to come up with a completely new show for 2020!”
While the current coronavirus outbreak has all shows, events and even filming of our favorite daytime television soaps either postponed or canceled, Steve and Bradford are still hoping to take their act on the road. That is, once things go back to normal and the virus subsides. But until that happens, Steve says that he and Bradford are definitely planning for more surprises that will both delight and excite their fans.
General Hospital News: More Laughs Ahead
He added, “It’s a comedy show and we make fun of ourselves more than anything. We also take on our General Hospital character but not the actors who play them. We make tiny little tweaks to our solo acts, but mostly stay the same. And then once Bradford comes out as my twin, we have a framework to work within, but new stuff always happens. We see what hits and if something gets a great laugh, we keep it, and if it doesn’t we get rid of it.”
For us, that definitely sounds like a winning formula. When Bradford and Steve’s show gets back on the road, we will update you with all of the latest information.
