General Hospital Spoilers: Steve Burton Calms GH Fan’s Fears – Reveals His True Status At ABC Soap

ABC General Hospital spoilers reveal that a little misunderstanding goes a long way. That was the case recently when Steve Burton, who plays Jason Morgan, posted something on his Insta leading fans to think he had quit the ABC sudser.

In a recent Instagram post, Steve said goodbye to Port Chuck. Many took this to mean that he was leaving Port Charles, the fictional town in which the show takes place. Many refer to the town as Port Chuck so the misunderstanding makes sense.

But Burton was actually announcing the demise of the band Port Chuck. That band was comprised of current and former GH stars Scott Reeves (Steven Webber), Brandon Barash (Johnny Zacchara, now Jake Lambert on Days of our Lives), Bradford Anderson (Damian Spinelli), and Steve himself.

GH Spoilers – Port Chuck Has Faded Into The Sunset

Port Chuck had a blast playing at venues around the country but it appears, according to Steve, that fans have seen the last of the band.

Burton and Anderson set the record straight via a video. In the video, Anderson says, “I have seen a couple of people saying, ‘Steve, are you really leaving GH?’” and Burton responded, “People misconstrued that I was leaving the show. So Port Chuck and Port Charles? Not the same thing, technically. Port Chuck is the band [we play in], Port Charles is the city in which I’m staying for a very long time!”

That should set the record straight and put many fans’ fears to rest.

General Hospital Spoilers – What Is Next for Stone Cold In Port Charles?

Steve has left the show in the past and fans are hoping there is never a repeat performance of that move! In the past, he left and ended up playing Dylan MacAvoy on CBS’s The Young and the Restless for three years.
In the end, he returned to his Stone Cold roots and has been featured ever since.

Right now he is once again entangled in a Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) problem, trying to figure out how to stem the tide of her lying to the police about the death of Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier). Will Stone Cold once again win the day and solve Carly as well as Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) problems? We would bet a considerable sum on it, seeing as how that has been his modus operandi in the past!
