Steve Said He Filmed Scenes With A New Cast Member

Burton also took the time to guide his new co-star through some of that backstory, noting that while the actor is new to this particular show, he is experienced in the industry. “He’s been acting for a long time,” Burton said; “He’s appeared in several prime-time shows.”

Burton offered to share the historical context of the scene they were working on, and the actor was eager to learn, stating that he usually prefers to create his own backstory but appreciated the insights this time.

Burton And Anderson Talked About Difficulties Recasts Face, Compared To Veterans

This is a quintessential move for Burton, without a doubt. Over the years, he has dedicated himself to nurturing Jason Morgan’s connections throughout Port Charles, and it’s evident that he takes great satisfaction in assisting newcomers to find their place.

He and Anderson engaged in an extensive discussion about how much simpler it is for veteran cast members to seamlessly integrate into a scene due to their shared experiences, contrasting it with the challenges faced by newcomers who lack that background.

Regardless of who this mysterious cast member may be, they are entering a narrative with deep roots, supported by one of GH’s most experienced veterans guiding them along the way.

Burton concluded the discussion with a promise that felt more like a playful hint: “Once he airs, we can discuss that further if we remember.” Unsurprisingly, that’s the type of statement that sends fans into a frenzy, and it’s clear why.

Who Could This Mystery Man Be?

A new character linked to the rich history of Port Charles is the kind of tease that suggests something exciting is on the horizon, and Burton is well aware of the significance his words hold for this fanbase.

We can make a few educated guesses about potential characters based on current plots and available actors. Jasper Jacks (previously Ingo Rademacher) is likely due for a recast, and possibly Jerry Jacks (Sebastian Roche) too.

For the roles of either Jacks brother, we might consider Jesse Spencer (Matt Casey, Chicago Fire) for Jax-he’s tall and blonde, and looks more like a fit for Jax.  

Brett Tucker (Lucas Ripley, Station 19) for Jerry, as both have a background in Australian soaps and extensive primetime experience!
