General Hospital spoilers and updates reveal former star Steve Burton (ex-Jason Morgan) may have left GH but he has confirmed that he left the door open to return if the mandates that cost his job are ever lifted. However, Burton did take a job with Days Of Our Lives – Beyond Salem 2. Is Steve still open to returning to GH or has he moved on?

General Hospital Spoilers – Steve Burton Considers GH Home

General Hospital’s Steve Burton considers GH to be home. Steve didn’t want to leave the soap when he departed in November 2021. However, Disney, the owner of ABC has placed a vaccine mandate on all of their employees. Burton had signed on with G.H. again in 2017 and wanted to remain there until the end of the show.

However, Covid 19 had other plans. Steve applied for both religious and personal exemptions to the vaccine mandate but his request was denied even after he already had covid once. Steve did leave on good terms with ABC and Disney in hopes of coming back if the mandate is ever lifted.

GH– Steve Burton Has Other Projects

General Hospital’s Steve got a call about Days of Our Lives – Beyond Salem 2 and was intrigued. After hearing the story of how the writers wanted to bring back Steve’s old character from 1988 he was ready to take on the role. After all, Beyond Salem 2 is a streaming miniseries on Peacock and it was only five episodes. However, the show could choose to bring the character back to daytime television as well. Will fans see more of Steve in the future?

General Hospital Spoilers – Could Jason Morgan Return

Unlike General Hospital’s Ingo Rademacher (ex-Jasper Jacks), Burton left the show gracefully and did not sue as Ingo did. Steve would go back as Jason in a heartbeat if the mask mandate was lifted. Steve admits that he thinks of GH as home and would be open to returning. General Hospital has already tried recasting that role and it was not accepted.

Will writers try to recast Jason again or leave him dead? Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleston) recently spoke about having a memorial service for Jason and having him declared legally dead. Will Jason return after all of this is said and done?

Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Carly Corinthos’ (Laura Wright) lives are completely out of control. Sonny is even going up in court against his son, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) as well. Does the family need Jason to come home to do damage control?
