General Hospital spoilers reveal that Steve Burton (ex-Jason Morgan) has told Deadline that he won’t be returning as Jason. Burton says “some doors shut.” Burton discussed his time at General Hospital and how much he is looking forward to Days Of Our Lives; Beyond Salem 2.
General Hospital Spoilers: Moving On From ABC
General Hospital’s Burton says that he doesn’t harbor any hard feelings for ABC executives. However, Burton says, he is grateful for his time at General Hospital. Burton says he grew up at GH and they were his family for a long time. Burton has always admitted that he would go back to GH if asked but it seems that he has realized he has to move on with his life and his career. Burton says “some doors shut and some doors open and here was are in Beyond Salem.” Could Days writers make a permanent spot in the original show for Burton’s character, Harris Michaels?
General Hospital: Is Burton Truly Down With GH?
Does General Hospital’s Burton’s talk about doors closing mean that he is completely done with General hospital? Burton was fired because ABC executives refused to accept his religious exemption request for the Covid vaccine mandate. Burton refused to comply with this order knowing full well that he could and would get fired without the exemption being accepted. However, Burton still stands by his decision today. Burton is thrilled about Beyond Salem 2 and Burton has gushed about his co-stars from the start. Harris Michaels may not be a completely new character but he did not have a huge history with the show so it was like a new character coming in.

GH Spoilers: Burton Originated Michaels In 1988
General Hospital’s Burton’s first role in Daytime was Harris Michaels. Burton was supposed to be on the show for a few episodes but ended up staying longer than he originally thought. Michaels was a classmate of Eve Donovan (then Charlotte Ross). Of course, Michaels took a bet to see if he could get Eve, who was a prostitute, to sleep with him. Unfortunately, Michaels fell in love with Eve but she could never forgive him for his lies and deceit. Perhaps a reunion with Michaels could help Eve to put her life in perspective after all this time. Could Michaels come to Salem and be in the original series again?
With Steve no longer being on General Hospital, Days writers could try to work out a deal to keep Michaels on the show. Would Steve be willing to work with Days on a contract?

I’ll miss Steve Burton on general hospital.. watched him in the 90’s playing Jason quatermain B4 he turn into Jason Morgan.. him and Elizabeth will always be my favorite couple she gave him his first son.. but most of all him and sunny I’ll miss the most
One more reason not to watch GH anymore! Dumb move letting him go! The whole show is one BIG BORE!! I’m going to start watching Days of our Lives now. Goodbye GH. I invested too many years to count on you. Then you let the most loved actor go because of a stupid vaccine that doesn’t even work!!

You will be loosing a lot of fans if you don’t get Steve Burton back. The show looses most of its interest without him. It’s messed up now with all the other odd characters with no interesting story lines. If you want to get rid of someone, get rid of Esme and Spenser. Also Dante and Sam are not a good match. Don’t like that duo.
Carly & Sonny belong together until death do they part! Nina is such a murderer looser. Fix the storyline! It was bad enough when a Jason was lost to the storyline. Are you trying to loose the show?
A bg mistake in letting Steve Burton go as well as Ingo Radenmacher. Both could have been tested on the days they worked. ABC execs were wrong in their decision. Steve & Ingo are both great actors. Bring back both actors, let Nancy Grahn go.
Well everyone can thank N.G.(Alexis) and the person that plays Terry on GH for that…Will miss Steve and Indgo.They are great..I’m happy that they stuck with their beliefs ..They stand strong and are good men…I wish them both well and goodness to come their ways…
Wow, Gh is really not that good anymore. now that jason is gone. WRITERS DID A STUPID THING BY FIRING THE BEST ACTOR ON THERE. now, he is going to another soap. and i cannot get the friggin thing on my TV. i cannot believe his wife is pregnant with someone elses baby. ARE YOU KIDDING ME??????I hope he finds a woman that is honest and sweet like him.
Beyond Salem is streaming on Peacock if you can get it. Someone else said the same and Steve said it’s already streaming there.
As much as I miss both Steve AND Ingo, I applaud them for sticking with their convictions, especially for an UNCONSTITUTIONAL mandate that was thrust before for them for something that is proven now DOES NOT WORK! But I digress………………
Yes, all GH fans can thank Nancy Lee Grahn for her outrageous liberal tweets and posts for making it IMPOSSIBLE for this issue to have worked itself out – her rude intrusions will come back to haunt her, eventually.
