Former “General Hospital” star T.K Weaver, who used to play the role of Danny Morgan, landed a role in an upcoming feature film. The young actor will take on the role of Micah in the movie that’s titled “New Year.”

The movie is about a group of friends who spends New Year’s Eve together. They enjoy an evening of food, conversation, love, lies, and truth. As the story progresses, these close friends will discover a lot of things about one another.

The film is directed by Nathan Sutton, penned by Sutton, Christian Williams and Elisha Skorman, and produced by John Boccardo and Adam McKain. Other cast members include Timothy V. Murphy, Neil Jackson, Nelson Lee, Kyle Mac and more.

Last year, it was revealed that TK Weaver was leaving “General Hospital” because a new actor is taking over his character, Danny.

In a tweet, the young actor said, “I was recast. I found out a couple of weeks ago, but I was asked not to tell anyone. Broke my heart. I love you all so much. I love my GH family and all of you who make my day every day! You guys are the best!”

Weaver made his first appearance on the show back in 2016. But his character was introduced in June 2012 and was originally portrayed by Gage and Gavin at birth. Later on, Jaxon and Jakob Kring took over the role for a few years. Then Caden and Corben Rothweiler played the part in 2014 and then followed by Braiden and Dylan Kazowski.

During Weaver’s stint on the sudser, he earned two Young Artist Award nominations and a Young Entertainment Award.

“I want to give a shoutout to my amazing GH family,” Weaver said.

“I loved being Danny Morgan for three years. I learned so much. I wish I could’ve grown up more on the show but it didn’t happen, unfortunately.”

He went on to thank Kelly Monaco, Billy Miller, and Steve Burton. He also wished the new actor, Porter Fasullo, playing the role of Danny good luck.
