General Hospital’s Laura is supposed to be Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) friend. Laura is also the mayor of Port Charles. Suddenly Laura is willing to renovate the waterfront property which means messing with Sonny’s livelihood. Why is Laura going against a man who is supposed to be her friend? Why would Laura want to go up against a mobster to renovate the property he has used for decades? Who is backing this project and why? It’s obvious that Sonny has an enemy in town. Is Taggert behind Sonny’s issues?

General Hospital Spoilers – Marcus Taggert Swore To Take Sonny Corinthos Down

General Hospital’s Taggert swore years ago to take Sonny down. Taggert was befriended by Sonny’s stepfather Deke Woods (Unknown Actor) and turned his life around after Taggert got in trouble as a teen. Taggert, of course, had no way of knowing that Deke was a child and spouse abuser. Taggert never saw the violent side of Deke.

Taggert grew up and wanted to be a cop like his mentor and hero. Deke beat his wife badly enough to put her in the hospital and blamed Sonny for assaulting his mother. Joe Scully (Robert Miano) killed Deke but Taggert blamed Sonny and vowed to get revenge. Taggert has been Sonny’s enemy ever since. Taggert left town because Scotty Baldwin’s (Kin Shriners) shady dealings as District Attorney set him up as a dirty cop and moved out of state. Taggert was not happy that he couldn’t take Sonny down but had no choice but to leave town.

GH Spoilers – Could Marcus Taggert Be On A Mission Again?

Now that General Hospital’s Taggert is older, could he have retired and come back to Port Charles to continue his mission to take Sonny down? What better way to get back at Sonny than to renovate the piers and make it harder, if not impossible for him to do his business there. Taggert could have saved money to buy into this project and targeted Sonny as a civilian. Taggert could have also changed careers and have his own private agenda for wanting the piers renovated. Tagger is back for some reason and most likely it has something to do with Sonny.
