General Hospital Spoilers – When Will Carly Corinthos Learn It All?

As everyone in Sonny Corinthos’s (Maurice Benard) orbit blames Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) for keeping Sonny away from his family for nine months, they seem to forget that Nina only arrived in Nixon Falls and discovered Sonny alive six months ago. So, what about those other three months? Does anyone wonder why Sonny didn’t try to find out who he was?

Will Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) ever learn that Sonny just didn’t want to know who he was? We’re living in 2021. If someone has amnesia, it’s not hard to do a little research and figure out who someone is. Being a mob kingpin, if Sonny had googled a bit, he would have recognized himself. But Sonny was content as Mike for months before Nina arrived at the Tan-O and was adamant he didn’t want to know about his old life, despite his watch and despite his wedding ring.

Even when Nina was falling for Sonny, she encouraged him to find out for himself who he was and he refused. He told her he was happier this way and he didn’t seem to be lying. Even now, Sonny looks uncomfortable in his own life and there’s going to come a point where Carly is going to have to stop blaming Nina for everything. Of course, she is Carly, so she won’t. But wait until she finds out the rest.

As Sonny is trying to get used to the fact that Carly married and nearly slept with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), he’s still keeping his little romance with Nina a secret. Sure, he didn’t sleep with her, but they came darn close and, as Mike, he did fall in love with her.
