General Hospital spoilers reveal what fans have been waiting for since 2020 when we first saw Holly Sutton locked away in a room with Robert Scorpio convinced she was dead.

General Hospital Spoilers – Olivia Quartermaine Has A Surprise For Robert Scorpio

It was Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) who was in Monte Carlo with Robert (Tristan Rogers) when he got the news that Holly really and truly was dead and it will be Olivia who brings them back together. He gave up and went back to Port Charles but fans have known she was alive this entire time. It was just a matter of when Emma Samms, who suffers from Long COVID, would feel well enough to travel to LA and work.

In fact, actor Tristan Rogers never thought that Robert would get Holly back.

“I didn’t think it would happen given her health,” Rogers said in the October 24, 2022, issue of Soap Opera Digest. “I thought, ‘There’s just too many things going against it.'”

That’s why Rogers was thrilled to learn that Samms was up for some fun as Holly, albeit on a short-term basis.

GH Spoilers – Holly Sutton Is At The Qs

For some reason, Holly shows up soaking wet at the Q boathouse and when Olivia finds her, she immediately tells Robert he has to get over there and when he does, he is stunned. He had just had a talk with Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) about his love life and lack thereof and she insisted he has to find someone again because he has been alone for too long.

“I had to sit back and think to myself, ‘How do I do this? How do I make this real? The shock of seeing her and the delight of seeing her. How do I roll that all into one moment?'” Rogers said in Digest. “I wanted to give it as much reality as I could possibly ring out of it, without being hammy or cheesy.”

So, where has Holly been and who has been holding her captive for all of this time? Rogers says the audience will learn that rather fast. “I think one of the things in this story that the public is really going to relish is the fact that the public is really going to relish is the fact that it’s all veterans, all familiar faces.”
