General Hospital Spoilers – Troublemaker Grant Smoltz
The last we saw of Smoltz, he was harassing Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), so Sonny scared him right out of Charlie’s but we’ll sure we’ll see him again. After all, he has been torturing people all over the place in the name of the First Amendment, no understanding there are even limits on the press, as all amendments have limitations.
Smoltz is also the guy who insisted a clearly mentally tortured Sasha Gilmore Corbin (Sofia Mattsson) be put in jail for the night after he mocked her for having a child who died shortly after birth. Smoltz got what anyone who would have done that to a parent deserves, but he thinks he was perfectly innocent and just after a story. We haven’t seen what happened with that story for a few weeks now, but we’ll sure Smoltz and his penchant to anger and hurt people in the name of independent journalism will tick more people off.
GH Spoilers – David Lautman Brings Grant Smoltz To Life
If you’re active on social media, you’ll see David Lautman join Twitter conversations about his character, defending Smoltz in a tongue-in-cheek way. Now, learn a little more about him.
“Smoltz is kind of out of type for me,” Lautman said in the August 30, 2022, issue of Soap Opera Digest. “Lately, my wheelhouse has been playing charming, likable, quirky guys next door. With that said, I have stretched myself by playing some pretty despicable characters before.”
Lautman is also learning that being on a soap is actually hard work. “I’ve never been on a set that moved as quickly and at such a high level. From day one, the entire cast and crew were incredibly warm and down to earth.”
So, what can we expect Smoltz to do next? Hopefully, he doesn’t decide to torture Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen), a pregnant woman with cancer, but you never know with this character. Stay tuned to General Hospital weekdays to see what comes next.
