General Hospital Spoilers: The Sinister Alliance – Nina Reeves And Liesl Obrecht Take Drew Down

General Hospital spoilers and updates reveal Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) is set to return to Port Charles shortly. She won’t be pleased to learn that her niece, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), is under the influence of Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison); will these two conspire against Congressman Cutthroat?

Liesl And Nina May Join Forces To Save Willow From Drew

Liesl may join forces with Nina to finally take down Drew and separate him from Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen). We aren’t sure when Liesl will return, but it should be in July, which means there are only a few weeks left this month. We do know that Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) is making her return this week.

She appeared in this week’s promo when Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) takes Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) and Baby Daisy Gilmore (Levi Clark Coughlin) to the airport. He is meant to accompany them to help them settle in; Jason is surprised to see someone who looks exactly like Britt.

It Hasn’t Been Announced If Kelly Plays Britt, A Doppelganger Or A Clone

There have been whispers that Kelly Thiebaud isn’t portraying Britt or any sort of clone, although there have also been rumors she would be, the character hasn’t been announced.

However, Jason’s head snapped around the moment he spotted her, and this reaction wouldn’t have occurred if they were merely acting as if she was a new character.

As for Liesl, she’ll also be returning shortly, and she has significant scenes lined up with Rocco Falconeri (Finn Frances Carr), with the likelihood of other family members appearing as well. There have been rumors of Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) or his clone appearing as well.

Rocco And Liesl’s Meeting

Young actor Finn Frances Carr expressed his delight in the scenes he filmed with her, noting how Rocco made an effort to look sharp for his meeting with Liesl.

He wore a button-up shirt and even styled his curly hair with a comb-over; it sounds adorable! However, I anticipate that once Liesl finishes her conversation with Rocco, she’ll reach out to other family members.

Nina along with her daughter Willow will definitely be on Dr. O’s must-visit list when she returns to Port Charles. Rocco had emailed Liesl wanting to know more about Britt, and she’ll be glad to see the fake grandson she hasn’t seen since a baby.

Liesl Will Want To See Family

Besides seeing Rocco, Liesl will be overjoyed to reunite with her niece Nina. She won’t be able to see Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) unless they bring in a substitute actress, although Kirsten has already filmed some extra scenes.

Of course, Maxie is the mother of her grandson James West (Gary James Fuller). However, Liesl won’t be pleased with the current situation of her niece or her great-niece Willow; naturally, Nina will be excited to have her aunt Liesl back, as she cares for her deeply.

Nina doesn’t have many friends, and even fewer she can confide in about her actions and the mess she’s found herself in; but she can share her feelings with Liesl.

Drew Makes More Threats

This week, Drew continues to threaten Nina-he knows she was involved with Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) in the ketamine scheme.

Drew has been blackmailing and controlling Nina for some time, leaving her unable to escape his threats. Nina is constantly at risk of losing Willow because of Drew.

Having Liesl back could provide significant comfort to Nina, as she will have Liesl’s support and someone to discuss her struggles with Drew.

Additionally, we all know that Liesl is fierce, and I doubt she will be pleased to learn that Drew is blackmailing her niece and making her life difficult.

Liesl Will Pick Up On Drew’s Drastic Change

Liesl is very protective of her family; currently, Drew has control over Willow and essentially over Nina, which is disturbing her peace of mind.

He has ruined Willow’s life because he is obsessed with her; and if you don’t recall, Drew saved Liesl’s life when Cameron Mathison was first cast in the role.

At that time, Drew was held captive and controlled by Peter August (Wes Ramsey), with Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) also involved at that compound.

Liesl was quite involved at that time tending to Drew’s injuries as well, and got to know him pretty well. She no doubt will suspect that either this Drew is a doppelganger and isn’t Drew at all, or he’s being controlled again-but that won’t give him a pass with her.

Remember Peter Held Hostage In A Cabin?

Drew should keep in mind that this is the same woman who kidnapped super villain Peter August and held him captive in a cabin in the woods. Dr. O was torturing him, and then she attempted to burn him alive by setting the place on fire because he was involved in her son Nathan West’s (Ryan Paevey) death.

He called Cesar Faison (Anders Hove), who shot their son. So, while Liesl surely values Drew rescuing her from Peter and Victor, it’s doubtful she will allow Drew to escape the consequences of blackmailing Nina and manipulating Willow.

Liesl Leaps Into Action

It’s certainly possible that we’ll see Liesl springing into action, assisting Nina in taking Drew down. And also to safeguard her, Willow, and the kids, Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver) and Amelia Grace Corinthos (Sequoia and Serenity Mork Macko

It wouldn’t take much for Nina to persuade Liesl to help her deal with that slime ball. Together, Nina and Obrecht could devise a plan to eliminate Drew or at least convince Willow that he should leave.
