Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Bechtel) doesn’t like the idea of having his picture taken on the red carpet. He’s disgusted by his disfigured face, but Nikolas Cassadine (Tyler Christopher), Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and Lulu Falconeri (Emme Rylan) try to change Spencer’s mind.
When Spencer doesn’t cooperate, he’s left alone to watch the event on TV. Cameron Webber’s (Michael Leone) arrival with Emma Scorpio-Drake (Brooklyn Rae Silzer) agitates Spencer, who calls Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) for an explanation on why she’s no longer with Cam. Once Spencer disconnects, he continues to fume.
General Hospital Spoilers & Updates: Brad Cooper Ditches Red Carpet Date With Lucas
Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) bails on attending the red-carpet event with Lucas Jones (Ryan Carnes), but he promises Lucas he’ll be there in time to watch the opening number. Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) is pleased to have her viewing party buddy. She makes a comment about pregnant Olivia Falconeri (Lisa LoCicero), who’s already a grandmother.
Ned Ashton’s (Wally Kurth) concerned since Olivia had a bit of a scare with the baby the night before, but Olivia’s adamant about attending the gala. Patrick Drake (Jason Thompson) notices Sam Morgan (Kelly Monaco) seems on edge, so Sam confesses that she doesn’t like lying to Julian Jerome (William deVry) about the baby.
Julian walks over and is curious about their topic of conversation, so Patrick fibs that they were talking about Brad not walking the red carpet with Lucas. Felix DuBois (Marc Anthony Samuel) is with Lucas when they’re cornered by a reporter, so Brad watches intently. Lucas insists Felix is simply his coworker and friend. After Lucas explains that he’s in love with someone else, Brad sports a smile.
GH Spoilers Scoop: Nathan Arrives At The Nurses Ball With Ellie And Turns Heads
Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) and Damian Spinelli (Bradford) are perturbed over Nathan West’s (Ryan Paevey) arrival with Ellie Trout (Emily Wilson). When Maxie tries to confront them, Spinelli inadvertently steps on her gown and causes Maxie to trip. That leads to Maxie’s halter slipping and creates a minor wardrobe disaster.
Nathan’s worried about Maxie, but she’s just glad she was wearing something under her dress. Ellie and Nathan face questions about attending the Nurses Ball together, but Nathan notes that they’re both single. After Maxie and Spinelli saunter off, Nathan tells Ellie that their plan is working.
Meanwhile, Jake Doe (Billy Miller) is cold to Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Herbst), who wants to explain why she deceived Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst). Jake isn’t interested in what Hayden has to say, but he gapes as lovely Liz when they get off the elevator.
General Hospital Nurses Ball Spoilers: Liesl Obrecht Takes The Stage
Britt continues her TV-watching fun with Brad until he has to meet up with Lucas. Once Brad arrives, he bets Lucas that Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) has cooked up something. After the opening act starts to wind down, Liesl sings her version of 99 Red Balloons by Nena.
Spencer is impressed by the performance, but he soon turns his attention to Britt. She refuses to let Spencer sit home and wallow in self-pity. With Britt’s encouragement, Spencer decides to head to the Nurses Ball.

Carly gets some help from Pete and Spinelli as she prepares for Ric Lansing’s (Rick Hearst) performance. Carly wants to make it a memorable one! Molly Lansing-Davis (Haley Pullos) drops a small black box by Liz’s table, which Ric wants her to open during his number.

Ric’s song is all about marriage, so Liz gets choked up as he sings. There are pics of Ric and Liz scrolling on a screen behind Ric, but the performance is derailed when one of Jake and Hayden’s wedding pops up. Carly brings Pete out on stage, where he admits to being paid by Ric to pose as Jake before facial reconstruction. Pete also mentions how Ric got Hayden’s help in his mission to break up Jake and Liz.
Once Liz storms out, she’s followed by Ric. He scrambles to explain, but Elizabeth doesn’t buy that he did this out of love. If Ric loved her, he wouldn’t have taken away Liz’s choice. Ric protests that he’s the only choice and doesn’t think Liz belongs with Jake. Liz refuses to take Ric back and cuts him out of her life.
Carly later gets the wedding ring from Jake before hurling it at Hayden. She tosses Ric out along with Hayden and looks pleased with herself. After Brad takes the stage, he gives a bit more upbeat performance – but the song’s still about marriage. Once Brad’s done, Lucy comments on the lack of proposal pressure. However, Brad doesn’t see why he shouldn’t, so he asks Lucas to marry him.
Nikolas finds an angry Liz crying in a dressing room. Since Jake isn’t married, Elizabeth determines that it’s not to late for them. Nikolas struggles to stop Liz from going after Jake. He’s forced to reveal that Jake is still married – just not to Hayden. Liz is shocked as Nikolas drops the bomb that Jake is Jason Morgan (Steve Burton).
