General Hospital Spoilers: Tracy Said Goodbye To Luke — But Is He Really Gone?

General Hospital spoilers claim Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) is back from overseas. She and Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman) said their goodbyes to Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary) — and it left many fans wondering why the sudden mention of Luke’s name after all this time has passed. Yes, we can’t help it. Every time they bring him up, we have to wonder whether this will finally be the time he re-enters the picture.

While Geary insists he’s retired and not returning to the set, we lifelong GH fans have heard it all before. So, is Luke really dead? Was Tracy truly off settling his estate, or does she know he’s still alive? If so, why is she lying to everyone else who loves him?

General Hospital Spoilers — Parting is Such Sweet Sorrow

Saying goodbye to this legend is hard to do when it hasn’t been done properly at all. That’s part of why no one really believes Luke is gone. Come on, GH. A character like Luke cannot just be written off with an off-screen death where a body is never discovered.

General Hospital Spoilers: Tracy Said Goodbye To Luke — But Is He Really Gone?

Sure, maybe the writers left the door open just in case Geary reconsidered someday, but we have to believe he wouldn’t be against one more run as the guy who made his career — especially if it means giving Luke a proper send-off in some way.

That didn’t happen with his poorly-attended memorial service aboard the Haunted Star, which was co-opted by all eyes being on a video of Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers).

GH Spoilers Leak Luke is Alive

Speaking of Helena, her sudden appearance at his memorial service led fans to wonder if — wherever Luke really is — he’s being held captive by Helena, who is somehow still alive.

He could also be laying low after faking his own death, watching his arch-enemy and waiting for the right time to strike back.

Many fans thought he may have faked his death to seek revenge on Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy), but Victor is allegedly dead now, too. Will we see a major comeback with all three of them in play?

General Hospital Spoilers — Tracy Truly is the New Laura

We’ll always have a special place in our hearts for Luke and Laura Collins (Genie Francis), but it seems that the legend of Laura’s love has truly been replaced by Tracy. She and Luke fit together like Bonnie and Clyde — in a way that Laura was never totally comfortable with.

Breaking the law wasn’t a limitation for her, but she didn’t relish it the way Tracy would. So, anyone waiting for Luke’s last trip to Port Chuck to someone loop Laura in as the one-time and forever love of Luke’s life is going to be sorely disappointed.

If he is coming back, it’s clear that only Tracy knows the truth about what happened, and he trusts only her to help him resurface when the time is right.

Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers so you don’t miss it when it all goes down.

I’ll only say this……………I don’t see Tony coming back. However, I honestly believe he has (or will) reprise his role in the form of a video to be played at the memorial service for his sister, Bobbie, when GH honors Jackie Zeman’s passing. Now how it will be explained in the grand scheme of things from the standpoint of Luke Spencer supposedly being dead I have no idea.

It is an insult to label Tracy as the “new Laura”. What Luke shares with Tracy is completely different from the passionate, all consuming love he and Laura shared. It doesn’t mean the Luke/Tracy pairing doesn’t involve love and commitment – as in I think all of us have that ONE love in our lives that truly is never equaled – it’s just more of a safe, mature, “comfortable” relationship.
