General Hospital Spoilers: Tracy’s Interest In Taking Drew Down Has More To Do With Her Interest In Lifting Cody Up

General Hospital spoilers say Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliott) surprised Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) when she said they were in this together now. The last thing he expected was for her to relish in Drew Quartermaine’s (Cameron Mathison) misfortune and encourage him to stick it to Drew as hard as he can.

Cody knew that Tracy was ruthless even when it came to her own family, but she was bouncing back and forth between being proud of Drew for finally acting like a real Quartermaine man and judging him for his seedy behavior.

Which is a true testament to her feelings toward him? Honestly, she just wants her own son, Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth), to retain control of ELQ. If she can use Cody’s zest for taking him down to suit that agenda, she will, but this is about more than that.

Of course, we can’t claim that Tracy doesn’t have a vested interest in making sure Drew goes down in any manner that she can make it happen. He has been a pain to deal with on the ELQ front for years, and if she can push him out of the way in that department, she’ll do it.

Using this scandal to make matters worse for him and leverage whatever she can learn of his secrets, Tracy may finally get herself and Ned the upper hand they need to maintain a stronghold on the family business.

GH Spoilers – Suggest Tracy Quatermaine Is Softer Than She Appears

Still, Tracy isn’t the heartless woman that so many people think she is. Cody knows better by now, even though he isn’t exposed to her softer side very often either. But she’s really going to feel for him as he processes this break-up from Sasha Gilmore Corbin (Sofia Mattsson).

It’s not as though they don’t care about one another or that either of them did anything to the other that warranted being left in the dust. Instead, he has to make peace with this even though Sasha did nothing wrong and he still has all of the same feelings for her.

Tracy will have compassion for him, but we can bet she’s going to rely on humor more than anything else to keep his spirits up.

Some fans have suggested that Cody is breathing new life into a part of Tracy that she may have thought was dead and gone.

Losing Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary) was the most difficult experience of her life, and she may never heal from not being able to say goodbye to him.
