General Hospital Spoilers: Tragedy Is About To Hit Port Charles In The New Year Again And Again

General Hospital Spoilers reveal a serious tragedy is about to strike in Port Charles, and it may not be what most would expect. When sad news hits people across the city, they will all come together in hopes of thwarting whatever may come next, and so that leads up to believing the tragedy that lies ahead is one that impacts more than just one or a few families, but all of Port Chuck.

Still, we’re not ruling anything out. This tragedy could be one that impacts the family at the very center of a string of tragedies that have been maiming people for months — The Hook killings.

As The Hook continues to maim and slay people in the name of targeting Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali), several copycats seem to be coming out of the woods and targeting people in an attempt to get their jollies.

It won’t be long before some of these con artists really strike though, and we could find out that The Hook hasn’t been one single person this whole time, but a slew of people from District Attorney Jennifer Arden (Jennifer Field), to Heather Webber (Alley Mills), to Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl), and possibly still Dex Heller (Evan Hofer). Is there a reason he wouldn’t shoot to kill when he showed up on the pier just in time to rescue Josslyn ‘Joss’ Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud)?

GH Spoilers  – Hint Trina Robinson Could Pay A Price She Never Saw Coming

Tragedy may befall Trina and her family in a way she never could have imagined. Once before, Trina thought she lost her father, Marcus Taggert (Réal Andrews), when he staged his death as part of a ploy to catch Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) and put him behind bars for good.

Going through that loss crippled Trina in so many ways, and it required much additional healing and rebuilding of trust when she found out her father lied to her and was really alive the entire time. More recently, we’ve come into information that asserts Marcus might not even be Trina’s birth father. Rather, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) may be her biological father, as a result of an affair he had with Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) many years ago. It’s possible the tragedy ahead is one that targets Curtis, leaving him in critical condition and pushing Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) to tell Trina the truth before it’s too late.

General Hospital Spoilers — Sonny Corinthos Is Arrested

This might not sound like a major tragedy, but anyone who understands the underbelly of Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) business of organized crime will understand that much of Port Charles’ more legitimate businesses thrive upon it. That’s what happens when crime infiltrates a space for long periods of time. It comes to be a part of the community and economy, whether the residents of that space like it or not.

If Sonny is arrested — likely by his son, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), on the heels of a takedown from his other son, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) — then many other prominent parts of the city may perish as a result of it. Sonny’s business provides a certain level of protection to the city that the other members of the five families don’t necessarily care about, and they will quickly invade his territory.
