After Willow Cain’s (Katelyn MacMullen) expected exoneration, they may spill what they know in Michael’s trial, should it come to that.
Diane Miller Already Knows About The Evidence And May Be Able To Use It
Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) wasn’t able to advise Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) in good conscience to bring up the ringtone in Willow’s trial. Since Alexis was defending Willow, it could get her disbarred for good this time, so Alexis had to withhold it.
However, if Acting District Attorney Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) charges Michael, which she probably will, Diane may be able to use it for him.
Since Diane is Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) attorney, she will be Michael’s as well. There’s a good chance that Trina and Kai will spill what they know to Diane, not knowing she’s already aware of it-just not who provided the evidence.
Diane Can Likely Get Trina And Kai An Immunity Deal

Even though Trina and Kai may be forced to testify in Michael’s potential trial, Diane can likely get them an immunity deal-after all, she’s gotten Sonny and Jason out of a lot. Since Kai is, as he mentioned when they talked to Alexis, Drew’s assistant, he has a key to his house.
The fact that they broke into his safe and destroyed his evidence against Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) wouldn’t be relevant, so there’s no reason to disclose it.
Drew may fuss and fume over their not disclosing themselves to him when he came home, but Kai could easily convince him they were going to surprise him.
After all, such a statement might play to Drew’s ego-and of course they’re not coming out from hiding when they heard gunshots!
Willow Can’t Be Tried Twice For The Same Crime, But She Might Face Repercussions From Drew!

Even though Willow can’t be tried twice for the same crime, if Trina and Kai’s ringtone evidence clears Michael, their coming clean will have served its purpose.
But Willow then might, and probably will, face repercussions from Drew, unless he is stupid enough to believe the “evidence” was fabricated.
Besides, he has the same “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” ringtone for Scout Cain (Cosette Abinante) and unless he’s shown Willow’s phone records evidence, he’ll think Scout called when he was unconscious.
Kai and Trina may not be able to use their evidence to help Willow, but it looks like it might help Michael. And that’s a good thing, because his children and Scout will need to be kept safe from Willow and Drew!
