She’ll find out Marcus Taggert (Réal Andrews) isn’t her birth father but she’ll keep it secret from both him and Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) and her mom, Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr).

General Hospital Spoilers – Contacted By The Genealogy Website
Trina comes across this information quite accidentally, when she is contacted by someone from the genealogy website she did a project on several years ago. She never contacted the relative that they found for her in Port Charles because she thought there had been a mistake. It’s an email, and at first she thinks it’s spam but the subject line grabs her attention-“Your father may be looking for you, are you still looking for him?”
Trina opens the email after checking the source, and it is the genealogy website she had contacted in 2019 so she knows it’s not a scam. She finds it bizarre and decides to look into the situation a bit more closely, not thinking she had any other Taggert side relatives.
GH Spoilers – A Big Girl Now, She Can Handle It
She had known that Curtis and her mother had known each other in the past but she didn’t know their exact connection. General Hospital spoilers say Portia, of course had never told Trina that she had an affair while married to Marcus so she wasn’t sure how she and Curtis had known each other. Of course, she knew that Portia and Marcus had problems and had grown apart with him away so much on missions with the Drug Enforcement Administration. Trina gets a link to her alleged relative’s family tree and is shocked at what it reveals; she’s related to Marshall Ashford, (Robert Gossett) Curtis, and his late brother. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist or a detective to figure out her mom had an affair with Curtis and she was the result!

General Hospital Spoilers – Keeping Secrets
Trina’s having a hard time accepting Curtis as her soon-to-be stepfather, let alone her birth father, and she wants to keep the daddy she knows, Marcus. She’s angry at her mother for cheating on him but knowing how Marcus would be hurt, she decides to keep her newfound knowledge a secret. Trina normally hates secrets and considers untold secrets lies, but in this case, she decides to make an exception, instead of blowing up all their lives.
Trina thinks it’s best to let Marcus keep believing she’s his daughter because they’ve always had a very special father-daughter relationship. She wonders if that’s why her mother never divulged the secret as well, because at the time she knew her affair was a horrible mistake.
