General Hospital spoilers reveal that Tristan Rogers (Robert Scorpio) is soliciting fan opinion on a very important matter, namely what should happen next in Port Charles!
At this time the show is on hiatus due to coronavirus prevention protocol. This means the show is not taping new episodes and it won’t for an indefinite period of time until the all-clear is given. In the meantime, GH fans are being treated to encore episodes, currently a 3-week run of Nurses Ball episodes.

Soap fans always have opinions, but it’s not every day that someone connected to a show asks them directly what they think or want.
Rogers however has deviated from that platform and has taken his inquiring minds to want to know stance to the public. Specifically, he inquired if they would like to see a time jump that would effectively wrap up the current stories off-screen, and give fans a fresh slate so to speak when the show resumes filming.

The novel plot device was used to good effect recently by NBC’s Days of our Lives. At the start of 2020, the show picked up one year forward into the future. All the residents of Salem were seen as if a year’s time had elapsed and much was different.
If GH did this we assume it would deploy a similar strategy. For instance, amazing things would have happened off-camera, some people would no longer be there due to death or moving, babies will have been born, new characters introduced, plus there would be all new scenarios to delve into.

There are pros and cons either way. If the show remains true to where it left off, it has the choice of picking up exactly where we left the characters with the plots they had in mind prior to hiatus, or the writers may have tinkered a bit with the storylines.
If they jump forward, nothing would be the same, and the changes would likely be quite dramatic.
Soap fans are known to have strong opinions, and sometimes these opinions diverge, as in the case of what they currently loathe or love.

A quick look at the message boards shows that many fans want Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) to be revealed as Trina Robinson’s (Sydney Mikayla) dad and loads think Peter August (Wes Ramsey) is beyond redemption and has overstayed his keep.

Soap fans are a vocal lot, so I hope Tristan has plenty of time to spend reviewing all of the suggestions he’s sure to get!

Losing interest
You can’t jump forward you have three storylines that coming to a conclusion.
I have to agree. I’m tired of the same old thing. A jump would be nice.Give Willey to Michael and Willow. And be done with it.

Yes, please! A time jump is desperately needed. We are so sick of these storylines. I am rapidly losing any connection with these characters. I am becoming cynical about even the sweetest, most wholesome characters!!! And NO! Who wants Curtis to be Trina’s dad?? Taggert was the perfect dad for her!!! It’s a shame he was killed off because I really like Taggert, Trina & Portia.

No, to the time jump.
I have waited years for Robert and Holly’s story to get straightened out. I want to see Robert find Holly alive, and them to finally admit to each other that they still love each other. Also it wold be nice if they finally address the fact that they may still be married. Holly tore up the papers and threw them in the river when she thought Robert was dead. They were never filed. I don’t want that story to be jumped forward. As for the Nelle mess, they can jump that forward. We know that Nelle will probably get custody. The whole Cyrus stuff I don’t like at all. But, I know most people like to see that kind of mob stuff. Maybe they can just shorten it a bit, no need to have it go on and on. There are a whole bunch of other smaller stories that need finishing too Dr. Obricth and Brad need to get out of Jail and on parole. Then there is who is trying to take over E.L.Q. Alexsis needs to get Niel back. They have so many other things started and not finished. DON’T JUMP AHEAD. Shorten some of the stories instead. I love Tristan, but I don’t think a jump would be fair to the long time fans.
I do not know if there should be a time skip. I think that there are too many stories that need to played out naturally and not used flashback to tell them. I think that it would be alright to start where they left off even a few months from now. Many shows do that from season to season. It would have just happened this time because of the real world situation.

ABSOLUTELY, as long as I NEVER have to see nelle EVER AGAIN
DON’T JUMP AHEAD. Leave it as it is. But end the story with Nell NOT getting custody and give Wiley to Michael. End the story of Sasha getting on drugs and the truth come out in regards to affair of Sasha and Chase to Willow and Michael. Sasha and Michael united, Chase and Willow united.
No you should not jump time, several storylines need to be played out but quickly…..Big fan of Chloe Lanier, but Nelle needs to go away…fast
