General Hospital (GH) spoilers are always teasing the return of Brenda Barrett; however, actress Vanessa Marcil is currently busy filming another project. The former GH star took to social media to fill fans in on some details.

GH Spoilers: Keeping It All In The Family

As per Marcil’s Instagram post, she is working on a new project set to release “this coming fall”, alongside her son Kassius Marcil-Green, who is acting as the series producer.

The two are currently in New York City, taping Love Lies and Videotape, as indicated on her IG. While the soap star did not offer a ton of information, the mother-son duo is collaborating with TikTok sensation Joanna Johnson (a.k.a. @unlearn16).

Joanna is known for mixing comedy with a “slice of life”, so it seems as if the series will be a bit of the same. There’s a sneak peek with a video between Johnson and Marcil that can be found on Love Lies and Video Tape Instagram page.

The ending gives a nod to Vanessa’s old soap days on GH, so you’ll want to head over to Instagram to check it out. It looks as if the series will be airing on YouTube when it is released.

GH Spoilers: Vanessa Marcil’s Time In Port Charles

Marcil debuted as Brenda Barrett on GH in 1992. She dabbled in a romance with Jagger Cates (Antonio Sabato Jr.), as well as Jasper Jacks (Ingo Rademacher); however, it was Barrett’s romance with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) that truly “wowed” fans.

Her final run in Port Charles took place from 2010 to 2011, while her last appearance (a brief one) occurred in April 2013 to help celebrate GH’s 50th-anniversary milestone. She’s been mentioned onscreen many times but has yet to return since. Now that she’s busy with a new project, will fans ever see Brenda back in the little town?
