First off, Liz remembers fighting with a woman at the top of a staircase, telling her to stay away from her father, and a man at the top of the staircase. Who are these people?! Later Finn looked at a picture of Reiko and Liz drew the same face.

Elizabeth spotted Reiko’s picture on Finn’s phone and said she looked young, to which Finn replied that Reiko died of Blackwood’s syndrome. Fans know he was unable to save Reiko and felt guilty about that.

Finn and Liz were complicit in Peter August’s staircase tumble and that is the trigger for the current mystery of why Liz is acting so strangely.

Some fans think that the Blackwood’s syndrome is a cover-up for Finn pushing Reiko down the staircase. Or what the heck, maybe Reiko survived the fall, and died of Blackwood’s syndrome later. What does seem more plausible is that Reiko might’ve been having an affair with Jeff. Yikes.

Stay with us, because based on the photo Liz found, she was living on the Mariana Islands near Guam when Jeff was in Doctors Without Borders in 1997. Yes, really. AND, Finn and Reiko were apparently there at the same time. We know.

Where is this all headed? It could be that Finn’s character is about to be exposed as a fiend, it could be that Finn has a memory block of his own, it could all be a Dallas-like JR shower scene in which Reiko isn’t really dead and the writers were just having a bad day.
