General Hospital Spoilers: Wednesday, January 8 – Lulu Vows To Keep Charlotte Safe – Nikolas Holds Ava At Gunpoint – Alexis Is Stunned

General Hospital spoilers for Wednesday, January 8, tease that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will have a surprise in store for Gladys Corbin (Mel Harris), and it doesn’t look like it will be an altogether pleasant one. GH viewers will remember that Gladys interrupted Sonny and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) in the kitchen with nosey questions about Sonny’s business dealings. That put Sonny off, and it looks like Gladys might soon be at it again.

Gladys is shown in the previews for Wednesday’s GH episode back in the kitchen, with Sonny ushering her out and saying that he has a little surprise for her. That certainly sounds ominous enough, so we’ll see what Sonny’s plans are for good old cousin Gladys.

General Hospital Spoilers – Valentin Cassadine Wants To Be Released From Police Custody

Meanwhile, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) will be hauled off to the Port Charles Police station, where he’ll have a little chat with Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers). Valentin is shown in Wednesday’s GH previews telling Robert that he believes Robert will follow the law and let him go. We’ll see if Robert obliges, especially if the police follow through and question Ava Jerome (Maura West) about what happened on the parapet at Wyndemere.

Valentin is up on fraud charges, tampering with a corpse, as well as attempted murder if Ava cooperates, which she surely will. Then again, Valentin seems to find ways to skirt the law, so you never know what could happen. But this time, he seems to be in a considerable amount of legal trouble, and it appears doubtful that the police or Robert are going to let him just walk free.

Next on GH, Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) will be feeling insistent. She’s going to prepare to take action, which will probably mean petitioning the court for full custody of Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez). Lulu will tell a distraught Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) that Valentin is never getting near Charlotte ever again, and it sounds like she really means it.

Of course, Nina will be shattered to hear this, as a part of her still deeply loves both Valentin and Charlotte. Nina will probably be realizing that her affiliation with Charlotte is essentially over at this point, since Lulu will probably get full custody of her going forward. It’s difficult to imagine a judge ignoring what Valentin has done when Lulu presents it to the court.

Other General Hospital spoilers indicate that Carly will visit with Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco), and she’ll spill the beans about Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) being alive and well. That will surely startle Alexis, who of course wasn’t present at Wyndemere for Nina and Valentin’s wedding.

General Hospital Spoilers – Nikolas Cassadine Pulls A Gun On Ava Jerome

Finally, on Wednesday’s new episode of General Hospital, Ava will get a big surprise when she wakes up to find Nikolas holding her at gunpoint. It looks like Nikolas will have found Ava’s gun among her things. GH viewers know that Ava tends to be armed and dangerous. She likely wasn’t planning anything violent where Nikolas was concerned, but he may still be unsettled to find that gun!
